I know quite a few people who never took a single college course whatsoever and are extremely successful in life, and DO have business being a member of society.

Just because companies only look at some degree when deciding to hire or not doesn't mean the person they are looking at would not help that same company. Trust me; having academic smarts does NOT equate to real life smarts. At. All.

I'm surprised his Dad let this happen, kinda embarrassing to him as a former buckeye. At least it says he may come back to OSU after he sorts it out. Sometimes people grow up late, it happens.

I'm in the middle on this. On one hand he definitely blew a golden opportunity, but he's very young. I don't think he warrants all this name calling. Me saying you weren't an OSU fan was simply in response to b00bie.

There are some kids who come from a bad situation, and academic life + football requirements + freedom for the first time can be hard to cope with.

Duron's dad was a longtime NFL star. I don't think he was left wanting anything as a kid. Him having academic problems is unacceptable.

If someone can't pass the ridiculously easy classes that the football players at OSU take as freshman, then 'moron' and 'idiot' are perfectly good descriptions.

As am I. The classes I took the first year were not bad at all. I didn't study nearly as much as I should have and still pulled solid grades. That said, the ones involving theory and stuff were absolute bullshit and still are.
