Dwight Howard Saga

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Along these lines, the Orlando beat reporter had this:

Magic have talked to OKC but Thunder balks at giving up Ibaka and Harden to rent Dwight.
well i give otis credit for exploring all options and being very ambitious, but lol at there being any chance of him pulling something over like that on presti

okc trading harden instead of westbrook is still real dumb tho

If center Dwight Howard were willing to commit to a long-term future with the Chicago Bulls, the Orlando Magic would trade him and Hedo Turkoglu there for Carlos Boozer, Luol Deng, and Omer Asik prior to Thursday's NBA trade deadline, reports Ken Berger of CBSSports.com. The Magic believe that offer--which could also include a first-round draft choice from the league-worst Charlotte Bobcats that becomes fully unprotected in 2016--trumps whatever else they could hope to receive in a deal for the league's top center.

However, Chicago won't part with two All-Star forwards and a young seven-footer unless Howard commits to signing long-term with the club, which he's given no indication he'll do. Thus, while the teams have spoken, "there's 'no type of serious discussions' going on," Berger says, citing a source.

Orlando's efforts to increase interest in Howard from teams not on his so-called wish list have failed, Berger says, because there aren't enough games remaining on the schedule following the trade deadline for a team Howard's yet to approve to convince him to stay.

If the Magic don't trade him by the deadline, Howard will almost certainly exercise the early termination option in his contract to explore free agency in 2012; the only way he wouldn't is if the Magic somehow convinced him to put his free agency off for another year. Thus, not trading him would be a risky choice by Orlando management.

Asik, 25, has earned a reputation as one of the league's most skilled young post defenders, but remains exceptionally raw offensively. Hw owns career averages of three points, 4.2 rebounds, and 0.8 blocks. The rumored trade with Chicago would, in Deng and Boozer, also bring back two frontcourt players with at least one All-Star appearance each. Boozer's career averages stand at 17.2 points and 10 rebounds, while Deng has posted 16 points and 6.4 rebounds while becoming one of the NBA's top perimeter defenders

I wouldnt mind seeing Dwight on the Bulls

Wow, Dwight is a moron. That team would be unstoppable.

no nice clubs or restaurants in okc bro

get your priorities straight

eta: and on a serious note that team wouldn't be unstoppable. putting dwight with the ninja turtle is a recipe for disaster.

Howard has serious interest in singing with the Clippers or Heat this offseason. Doesn't want to be traded... Cap issues with both teams but he has real interest. - Per Mannix

How can Miaimi get him?

Trade Lebron :D

I don't understand why he wouldn't commit to Chicago or OKC, if he doesn't want to win then you have to question any teams desire to sign the guy.

If he's actually unwilling to sign with the Bulls he's the dumbest player in the NBA, hands down.

this generation of "superstars" (Dwight, Lebron, Melo, Amare) seem to have the shittiest priorities and motivation of any group that has ever gone through the NBA... i can't grasp what would be going through these guys' heads... im very grateful of how humble and team-oriented irving is... he is literally the complete opposite of the knuckleheads that came through before him.

No.

It'd be unstoppable. Easily win the West every year it was together.

That'd be ludicrous.

Now he is. Let's see for how long--don't forget--LeBron is his "Big Brother" and "Fam"

He doesn't care about winning as much as the other superstars. Unless the Nets some how get Anthony Davis, they aren't going to make that much noise, even with Dwight. Maybe and ECF appearance, but they aren't beating Miami. And as overrated as the Bulls are, im not sure they can beat them either.
