I'm a Dayton graduate and obviously watched the tournament with great focus.

When we played Stanford in the Sweet 16, it was obvious that this guy was not only their best player by a landslide, he still managed to hit us for 17 and 9 while playing in foul trouble near the end of that game.

He has NBA talent and NBA size. He will crack the rotation sooner than later.

I thought Powell was a 2nd round sleeper so I'm pleased the Cavs picked him up. He definitely has a chance with the combo of size, skill and shooting ability. Cavs have been one of the worst perimeter shooting teams in the league in recent seasons. Nice to see an effort is being made to change that and we're bringing in skilled basketball players.

Taking on Haywood's contract didn't seem to make sense but in Kevin Pelton's draft trade grades on ESPN.com he wrote that after this upcoming season through a contract provision Haywood's salary jumps to $10.5 million and it's completely non guaranteed. That becomes a huge trade chip.

Powell don't look 100% white to me.

His mother, who unfortunately passed away from Cancer in 2013, is from the West Indies

Not sure about his father.

Dude looks like a freakin robot. How is he going 45? Maybe his dog died his Senior year? I mean he is a Man-Child who looks like a guard. Looks like he moves like Ilgauskas once did but is big enough that it's not a worry.

Clearly, we are looking at a team that can shoot at all positions. Looking bleak for TT, imo.

Why? Dude can shoot with both hands and is only a year in from trying from the other side. All positions left handed right handed. Defend that Pop. :chuckles:

I was looking at the CBA FAQ yesterday and I remember something about the League having to announce. And then there were rules about future players? Look at the rules around the FAQ's of the new CBA at 80-86.

Well he went to Stanford and had an offer from Harvard, so hopefully some of that brainpower transfers over to BBIQ
