Dwyane Wade Safari

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I am too and don't think Wade would really leave but I'd be LOLing to the next decade if LeBron recruited Wade here for say, Haywood's contract and he took over the role of vet bench guy that can step in and wins a few games for us like Miller was supposed to do. It would be delicious to see the screaming from Heat fans; that might be worth it by itself.

I'd rather keep JR and Shump. They play defense. And aren't anywhere near as injury prone.

I don't want this thread locked.

I want it deleted, and I want the creator thrown in the sex dungeon with Jigo.

The fact that this even exists, especially during finals week, is flat out unacceptable.

Being smart with money doesn't make Arison cheap. Paying Wade a shitload of money makes no sense for that team. You don't do what the Lakers did and pay a guy for what he's DONE. You pay him for what he will do. Wade got his max dollars over two different contracts. He's been paid for his greatness. He is no longer great and shouldn't be paid like he is.

He was pretty damn good this season, the best player on the Heat. If Bosh didn't go down, they probably would have gotten the 7th seed and played Cleveland in the first round. Wade as the 4th/5th option on this team would be NASTY!

This thread should be ejected into the sun. This is the last player in the world I want to be talking about with our team about to play in the Finals.

I'll take a veteran Dwayne Wade 3 years from now for the Vet's Minimum just to spite Miami. He could play the cheerleader role that Mike Miller has played this entire season.

Starting to get excited about this possibility. I mean, how can D-Wade say no? Can't wait for more news to come out about this. Will make us Eastern Conference favorites every year, and we might just make an NBA Finals or two.

What if Wade was willing to embark on the 2nd half of his career as a scorer off the bench, alah Vinnie Johnson? Less wear and tear. Might add a few years to his career. I know everyone thinks JR Smith was turned a corner but we thought that once of Delonte. Also there is no guarantee someone doesn't get stupid with Shump. Cavs need options. If Wade is ready to take a reduced role to lengthen his career and pile on more rings... Why not?

Ugh. No thank you.

At this point Wade is a 33 year old combo guard that has no knees or jumpshot, will want a 10+ mill salary, and most likely want to start. Good luck with that.

False, he has no 3 point shot, but he has one of the best mid range and post games in the league.

Trying to see how exactly he fits with Shump and Smith on the roster.

He's not a shooter, although he can create his own shot and would be good at 20-25 mins a game.

Interesting at the mid level, but my guess is he'd go to Chicago.

Sure, I'll take Wade.

Only if he hosts a nationally televised event with weeks of buildup and spurns the city of Miami in front of the world.

At which point Gilbert jumps out of nowhere *rips up contract*

I'm a big Wade fan, always have been. Guy was phenomenal.

With that said though, if the Heat can't afford him, we surely can't.

Whatever he's asking for would exceed anything we could offer, obviously; so that would mean we would either need to trade or sign-and-trade for him and considering Pat Riley's recent remarks about LeBron I think that has absolutely no chance of happening.

Still, if it was a possibility, I'd be all for bringing Wade to Cleveland.
