ECF: Cavs 4 - Hawks 0

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Fools talkin about SWEEPS? My God, people. How long have you been Cleveland fans? Great win tonight. Without an unconscious JR, they don't win. Lots of basketball left.
Jr made it an easy and decisive win. I believe we were up or tied when he started going off. Could have one this without a career night just in a tight game

...this game was such a fucking blowout my head is spinning.

fuck what the boxscore says, im oficially taking count of all the bullshit calls.

i only rewatched the second half (and a SHIT TON od bad calls were in the first).

calls: 11-2 in favor of atlanta in 3rd q and 8-0 in favor of atlanta in the 4th. Im being generous.

Not all of these calls resulted in points, but some of them were fucking killers. lebron manhandled under the rim and no call (-2 pts) and thrown up the court for a breakaway dunk (+2 points and momentum). korver pushing off for 3.

ill be generous and go by season efficiencies and say the average foul is worth 1pt.. refs gave them 17 points in the second half alone and we win by 8?? this was a 40 point facefucking.

..we're doing this on the road, without kevin gd love and kyrie gd irving.

So I guess no one touches LeBron when he drives :chuckle:

Lol... definitely the most ridiculous thing I've heard all week. Some people really make me wonder. The fact of the matter is LeBron gets hit harder and more often than anyone in the NBA. So how can anyone say something like that with a straight face?!

yea unbelievable, it was so obvious the refs wanted to narrow the gap and get ATL closer.....
I guess they didn't want the hawks to get blown out on their home floor in game 1.

The amount of non calls Lebron is getting while driving to the basket is unbelievable he is getting the opposite of the Jordan treatment smh....

I don't think they'll sweep, the Hawks will probably get one or two at some point but the Cavs didn't play well offensively tonight and still won by a healthy margin even with Kyrie, JJ, Shump and Delly contributing next to nothing offensively tonight (that'll change). If it weren't for LeBron fucking around the last five minutes this was an absolute blowout so I don't know how you can say they'd lose if JR wasn't unconscious-- that's silly. That's like saying if LeBron didn't score they'd lose. Dumb argument. The Cavs defense is absolutely stifling right now and it's given this team an identity. It won't always be pretty but they'll grind the fuck out of you all night long.

What we learned tonight is that the Hawks have no answer for LeBron-- Carroll and Millsap weren't doing anything to disrupt him (The 1 on 5 shit with LeBron has to stop down the stretch, I want to pull my fucking hair out while each miss fueled Atlanta's transition game). The Hawks have no answer for TT or Mozzy on the offensive glass. Korver can't play ANY defense and as long as the Cavs have a defender draped over him he's total liability any time he's on the court for the Hawks (huge reason why JR went off tonight).

We also learned the Hawks offense is 100% reliant upon penetration by Teague and Schröder as we saw in the 1st half. Once we denied that in the 2nd half, their offense came to a screeching halt. Their PG's are the only players that can create their own shot so that'll allow the Cavs defense to swarm. Cut off the paint and make their PG's beat us with jump shots, cut off Korver's long-range shooting and force Millsap, Horford, Carroll/Bazemore to beat me. Personally, I think the Bulls were a much tougher matchup for the Cavs.....

I was saying this all game thread. Bulls were tougher

Sounds familiar.. oh wait.

Chicago fans: "Without an unconscious Shumpert, they don't win!"

Chicago fans: "Without an unconscious Kyrie, they don't win!"

Chicago fans: "Without an unconscious James Jones, they don't win!"

Chicago fans: "Without an unconscious J.R. Smith, they don't win!"

Chicago fans: "Without an unconscious Dellavedova, they don't win!"

And the end result...

Chicago fans: "$#!+."

If LeBron got the foul calls that Harden gets, he would have broken Wilt's record of 50.2 ppg.

I'm still
Amazed they haven't gotten Milsap and Horford going, especially after Teague was shut down in the second half.

JR went off...period. That one step back in the corner looked sick..They had no answer for that.
Now first it seemed to me the Cavs were like a boxer feeling out his opponent for the first couple of rounds.
They saw what Atlanta wanted to do, then they started creeping up and adjusting their defensive coverage.
In the third when JR went off, I could see the Cavs taking control of the game and choking the Hawks shooters off.
Kover...that was a great defensive move to retreat when Lebron came steam rolling in the lane to slam it ...:9:
They do need to slow Teague(I'm finding him to be the one I don't like in this series)..but I think some little punk things ,that as a player, I woulda belted him in the chest a couple of times..same with Tree-Sap..
Hawks started out like that 60 win team but as the game progressed, I saw a different team..one that will have difficulty winning this series.
I saw a Cleveland team that wants to win and isn't intimidated by the Hawks.

NOW where was Webber talking about the Cavs bench???
