ECF: Cavs 4 - Hawks 0

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The Hawks' winning streak could come to an end tonight. They're down 14 to the Pelicans at the end of the third.

Also, since the Wizards lost tonight and the Raptors are going to lose, we will be one and a half games behind the 3rd seed and three and a half behind the 2nd seed.

One thing that sticks out to me is that the Hawks struggle a little against size in the paint, especially considering how small their lineups are. Mozgov should help us gain an advantage there.

Get your boards, make some open shots, guard the 3 point line. Easier said than done, but it's pretty much how you beat the Hawks.

If Lebron plays in the post like he did in Miami then we should be able to kill them on boards and open looks for our shooters. The gap between Teague and Irving is a huge advantage since we been shutting point guards down left and right with Mozgov protecting the paint.

The only way to beat us is to have an offense that slows us down. If you can't score on us, we are going to run you out of the gym with a 30+ point quarter or an 8-0 spurt in 90 seconds. That's why the Wizards don't scare me, and I don't think the Bulls can play smart ly enough with Rose who is a pretty impulsive player dominating the ball.

The Hawks get no love on this board but I fully expect to see them in the ECF. They are the kind of team that can give us trouble IMO, but our talent level should carry us to the finals.

Who woudve thought we would be this close three weeks ago. If this team stays healthy and get a top 3 seed the ec should be scared cause we going after them

Honestly, I think we should be able to secure the number three seed before the All Star Break. And then in a few weeks, we should be able to overtake Toronto for the number two. Unfortunately, Atlanta is out of reach though. We would have to win out to even have a chance of catching them.

To be honest i dont care about no 1 seed. It brings me back bad memories when we used to get it and ended up in dissapointment. I rather be top 3 and rock the whole east and in the finals. Atl will be more pressured to win and we got the best player on the planet with a great supporting cast.

Yeah those are my thoughts. Though I would want the number two seed just so we don't face Atlanta until the ECF.

I don't want an easy road. That seems to lead to letdowns. You need tough opponents on the way to win in the finals.

we will get the #2 seed IMO...and I think we will kill ATL on the glass

This is going to sound arrogant but I'm just not scared of ATL. They have a nice little squad but come playoff time, cream rises and talent almost always wins out.

When the game slows down and you have to grind out buckets in tight games, and teams have scouted your sets to death in a 7 game series, you need go to guys down the stretch - spreading the wealth generally doesn't work, you need a defined pecking order and go to guy and ATL doesn't have that to me. They would have to be an anomaly like that 2004 DET team but to me, that squad had much better top end talent.

There ain't no Rasheed Wallace equivalent on the Hawks.

I could be wrong but I doubt it.

Spurs, Mavericks, shit even the Grizzlies. All examples of teams that have had a lot of playoff success against much more talented squads.

And if you don't think the Hawks have a player equivalent to or better than Rasheed Wallace then idk what to tell you. You're probably not watching them.

The Hawks have beaten some good ass teams. They shouldn't be discounted. They're definitely legit.

The Spurs have arguably the greatest coach in NBA history on their side. The Mavs had a legit top 5-10 player on their side and the Grizzlies are a prime example of not being able to get over the hump(Thunder)
