That's a monster team. 10 teams?
Nah. Twelve.
I had the second draft spot and started out Cook/Waller/Diggs. It's zero PPR, so WR is devalued somewhat and the first two rounds were people smashing RB. By the time my second rounder came around, all the RBs I liked in that range were gone, so I went Waller, then took Diggs early in round three.
Swift and Williams were my fourth and fifth round picks, as I always try to invest in at least one rookie RB. Aiyuk was a big whiff in the sixth, and I've dropped and re-added him like twice now as guys went on IR and opened up roster spots. Diontae and Brown were my seventh and eighth rounders. Tannehill was nine.
The rest were just waiver pickups. Michael Carter got dropped early when he was the third stringer and not doing shit. Sanders got dropped for whatever reason when he went on IR, and to be fair he was pretty much shit all year anyway so I get it, but I had an open IR spot so there was zero downside. Mattison was also dropped early when he was getting zero usage and I was the first one to grab him when the news of Cook being out for week three sprung. I don't even know if Toney was drafted, but Elijah Moore was dropped as well, understandably since the Jets were a complete dumpster fire the first few weeks and he was doing jack and shit.
So yeah, mostly just taking advantage of other people fucking up. To be fair, I had Dillon and dropped him, but of course it's impossible to predict injuries and I generally don't roster handcuff backs unless they are actually getting some touches, which Dillon was not, as he had three points combined in the first three weeks of the season. The only reason I've still got Mattison is because Cook can be tough to trust when it comes to staying healthy, and Mattison is a plug and play RB1 when he's out.
Oh, and Mitchell was my week one waiver claim. My team was pretty bad in week one so I had early priority.
I normally start out with three RBs in this league, but I guess the rest of the league caught on to the fact that I was dominating the league every year and followed suit. Of course, they still let Swift fall to the fourth, which was madness.
