Korver has been UNDERRATED defensively. Last person to blame for any of our defensive woes. Sorry.

This is true. I complain a lot about things but never will complain about the amount of effort Korver gives on either end. He is limited but goes hard and is nullified by defensive minded athletic wings

He’s no ray Allen

No team can just take you away from a series IDC who you are

It’s easy to take Korver out of a series our because offensive schemes are pure trash, we don’t run any backside action screens or heavy motion sets to get him open the only play Lue has for Korver in his arsenal is having a big man set a screen for him at the 3PT line, hoping that gives him enough room to shoot.

Any intelligent team that watches tape can easily defend that play 95% of the times, Lue has no idea how to run motion sets with multiple actions to get Korver wide open like GS does with Klay and Curry, it’s very doable. Problem is our coach is very simple minded and has no idea how to run a team offense so he always resorts to “Kyrie and Bron do something” strategy

It's hard for me to get mad at this guy when he gets 1 wide open shot from a wide pindown per game and he's expected to knock it down vs this defense. The team simply has no principles for weakside flare screens other than if TT or Nance does it on a whim.

It’s not just the misses. Fouling shooters again. Losing players on defense. He forgot about Livingston who made a jumper wide open. LeBron was pissed with him. Korver isn’t even close on his shots. It’s all mental. He just shakes his head. Realistically might be his last opportunity in the finals and this is how he plays.

It's a bit of both. Remember the ATL team from 2015. The one Korver was a big part of. They ran a lot of good offense. Offensive schemes at a level far higher than our coach could imagine but when the playoffs came we were able to take him out of the series very easily and it was JR who helped lock him down. Since the beginning of time, pure catch and shoot guys have always had such struggles in the postseason. There isn't any offense that is going to make Korver a perennial playoff performer. Maybe unless the team is so ridiculously stacked that giving Korver open shots is an option

I would move him in the offseason for another piece. Even if it's for a guy like Demarre Carol or Marvin Williams. I think we need more versatility and have the depth at SG to move Korver and even JR if we need to. We need to become a bigger more defensive minded team.

Would miss kyle but I think we need to. Watching our defense get shredded every play is making my eyes bleed. And it’s not like we’re trading offense for defense at this point.
After couple of years of this I’m ready for us to have a gritty defensive team again

Korver is a playoff choke artist. Sucks saying this because he's an extremely likable guy, but it's literally all mental in the postseason and Korver forgets how to shoot lights out. He's no Mike Miller.

Korver has to be 1-10, 1-11, or 1-12. Its something like that.

Korver is one of my fave Cavs ever. But it’s just no longer his time.

It’s not even that he can’t get looks — (people wanna blame coaching) but when he got that up/down travel the other night I just came to the conclusion that this stage is not for him...The pressure got to him...

Some can handle it and some can’t... He cant handle it...

I said it at last years Finals, and I’ll say it again tonight....Korver is trash against GS.

Think we could get a late first back for Korver in a teardown? but who the hell is even a contender anymore? We can't rebuild because the league is collectively behind the 8-ball.
