Farewell, Timofey Mozgov

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Timmo is such a game changer on the defensive side, once again what a steal.

Another facet that amazes me is he can actually get down in a scrum on the floor and affect who comes up with the ball. (around 3Q 6:30 vs Lakers) Very unlike most 7-footers, who once they're down on the floor (or heck, even just bending down to it) are completely useless.

If he can't come up with the ball himself, he's heady enough to bat it out to a teammate.

Mozgov shirt incoming, will be wearing it for the game vs. Heat Wednesday.
This should guarantee a win.

That's because he's freakishly athletic for a man his size. He can also run the floor like a point guard when he wants to.

Mozfov, since coming to the Cavs, is averaging the 17th most blocks per minute (vs. other players' full seasons).

Not really an eye opening stat but I thought I would post it because it took me time to calculate it, dammit.

Really just amazing, his impact on the game though. He's probably worth 2.5x his salary despite his so-so stats.

Some quotes from the Timos interview for russian newspaper (I don't speak americano, i'm sorry):

- Have you talked with Blatt about your role in the club?
- We had such a conversation. I asked him: "Coach, what you want me to do on the court maybe i should play in other way?" Blatt replied simply: "Keep play like you playing, do what you do."

- The media is constantly discussed that Blatt allegedly not highly respected by the players. Can you comment on this?
- I will say this: our guys are ready to die on the court. It may be noted by anyone who watched at least one cleveland game after the New Year. All 12 people coming out to the floor, rushes after balls out of bounds, for the work on maximum. There is no problem. Huge devotion. We perfectly communicate inside of collective. This is Blatts great achievement.

- LeBron, what kind of person is he? How he behaves outside of parquet?
- We are not a best friends, but I note, that James - the leader of our team, he is a great team organizer. He have a great human qualities.

- Your agent Maxim Sharifyanov said that you are very undervalued in terms of salary. According to him, the NBA starter centers salary is $ 8.9 million per year. What do you think about this?
- I do not think about it. My agent hardly had focused on my salary, he may comment on rumors about me. Currently, I have an interesting and difficult season. I have a contract according to which I will receive the agreed salary. And it is impossible to do anything wiht it, as if I wanted to.

- Were you able to walk in Clevelend? To see the sights of the city?
- Have not yet. Most of my travels in Clevelend are built along the route: hotel-stadium and back. My wife and child has not yet came to me. Therefore, all my free time I spend on the court. And winter is not the best time of year to get acquainted with a new city.

- Do you recognized on the streets of Clevelend?
- Yes. Pretty often asked take a picture with me.

I'm having flashbacks of that Wally Szczerbiak ultimate fan who used to post here.
