Fastlane Tonight - in Cleveland!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Survivor Series has a good ring to it as well concerning them two and where this is going, give us a stipulation, no count out, no submission, no pinfall... Last man to survive sounds pretty good because of where this thing is headed all being Taker's revenge, now flipped to Brock and Heyman's revenge, the controversy around the tapout, I think a LMS match is a good measure, but the toddler in me would want a casket match. Always loved those matches as a kid.

Casket or Hell in a Cell would be idea, I think. I consider both of those signature matches for Taker.

Personally, I think the WWE's goal should be to have Brock lose his first legit match (since his more recent return, obviously) at next year's Mania, which means he shouldn't be fighting Taker. I'd say Brock should go in as the WWE champion and someone should take that belt from him in a fair finish.

Problem is, who? I'd want someone new, but they haven't built anyone up enough (unless Rollins or Bryan does it) to where they deserve beating Brock clean at Mania.

I am intrigued by an Orton/Brock feud (could refresh Orton's character some), but not over the title or with tthe title involved.

That is the question. The crowd would boo the fuck out of Cena winning, and you can't end Mania on a rain of boos, so he's out. I don't think the crowd would get too jazzed about Orton and Lesnar feuding at Mania too. It really has to be Rollins or one of the other NXT guys. There's still a ton of time to build up someone, though.

Knowing WWE, they'll probably try to force Reigns down our throats again. But maybe Brooklyn booing the absolute fuck out him last night will keep them from trying that shit again. :chuckle:

Regardless, it'd be great to see one the "new guard" guys take down Brock at Mania next year. Like a passing of the torch.

I definitely don't want to see Orton/Brock at Mania, just as filler between Brock feuds at bigger events. I really think it could put some freshness into Orton's stale character. However, I agree, not at Mania.

Cena, Orton, Sheamus, or anyone like that the crowd would boo the fuck outta them, as you said.

I could see them getting behind Owens, but he's not main eventing Mania anytime soon.

Uless they can bring someone up and push the hell outta them successfully in a short amount of time, it'd have to be Rollins or Bryan. All the other popular guys (dolph, etc) don't have the push right now to justify it.

One wild card may be Cesaro. They'd need to build him up more, but he's a former "Heyman guy". Can go with the best of them. Heyman would be able to carry him on the mic in the battles. And best of all (though I don't think he's that terrible), a feud with Brock doesn't necessarily need a ton of back n forth.

Unfortunately, I think you're right & they'll shove Reigns down our throats again. Just hope, if that happens, the crowd boo's the fuck out of him again and again forces their hand to make a change.

I think Undertaker-Lesnar will have their rubber match at either Survivor Series, or Hell in a Cell. I know the later is not a marquee PPV event, but that would be a great match to end their feud. Plus, rumors are Brock is off until early October, which is the same month as HIAC.

Sting beating Rollins looks likely, which is bittersweet. Sting having a run with the belt will be awesome to see, but I hate the fact that Rollins reign will be one in which he never really won a PPV match cleanly. He didn't even win cleanly over guys like Ambrose or Orton, who have both lost cleanly at recent PPV's to Wyatt and Sheamus, respectively. Wouldn't surprise me either to see Cena beat Rollins the same night to get the US Title back. Maybe after losing both belts is when Rollins leaves the authority and makes his face turn.

I want to get on board with you guys on Sting having a nice run with the belt until RR or WM, but I guess I just don't see it due to his age. Unless they do what they did last fall with Lesnar holding the belt and showing up sporadically in the fall/winter, which is typically the WWE's "downtime" of the year with the casual fan fixated on football. Whether we like it or not, I could definitely see Sting winning it at Night of Champions only for Sheamus to cash in the MITB contract soon after. As an already obnoxious heel... the heat that would generate would be massive.

Also, I would LOVE to see the WWE continue to build up Cesaro. The talent has always been there, but he's over now more than ever. I think a Lesnar-Cesaro feud/match would be incredible. Owens-Lesnar would be as well. Cena, Reigns, Rollins, Taker, HHH have all been done. Time for something fresh. Orton would be good too, but they need to make Orton look strong and credible again. If he's not involved in the WWE Title picture he just sort of hovers around in mediocre mid card storylines.

I watched last december's Austin podcast with Mcmhaon. Mcmahon said cesaro is missing something and it was apparent when he did a promo with ambrose and orton .

I wouldnt count out Owens drawing a big card at Wrestlemania.

Lesnar is really fast for someone with his strength. its hard to find anyone under a certain size that can believably beat lesnar fair and square.

This is why Mcmahon has designated Lesnar as a special attraction.

I think Owens can sell it but he would need another big win or two, first. such as roidback , Orton, and/or reigns

Finally watched all 3 events from the weekend, and was pretty let down outside of NXT. Was happy Cena didn't win but now my grandpa Sting is in the title picture? Arghhh

I still can't get over the fact that every fan in that building screamed GET THE TABLES! Seriously, thank you Vince McMahon!

They stole the show. They'll win those trash looking titles soon.

I also wonder how this new Wyatt comes along. He's a Vince prototype, tall and musclar but probably lacks a moveset. Either way he looks more intimidating than Bray.

Reigns/Ambrose/Wyatt's isnt over yet, probably will carry into Survivor Series for a traditional tag elimination match.

The Divas match was so boring that the fans started doing the wave, chanting names, chanting boring, etc.

Cesaro can be a showstopper, build him up strongly, hell even a Royal Rumble win will do the trick...

Orton got a belly forming, must be a beer belly because he stopped caring when he was told he's out of the picture.

Sting looked to be in better shape since WM.

Mic skills aren't Cesaro's strong point, I'll give you that. Heyman would've been great for him, but unfortunately WWE fucked that up by having him manage Cesaro IMMEDIATELY after Lesnar ended the Taker's streak, and that was always the focal point of Heyman's promos.

Roman Reigns sucks on the mic too though, and that didn't stop Vince from pushing him into the main event picture.

What's wrong with Sting in the title picture? Who else do you prefer... Cena again? Reigns again? Ambrose again? Orton again? Lesnar is part time and dealing with Taker still. Bryan is out. I mean, I get it, the guy is old... but at least it's something fresh and unexpected. He's a modern day wrestling legend, but has never been after or held the WWE Title before.

How about bring back Jeff farmer with sting and have them switch in and out during a lesnar fight.they can take turns hiding under the mat.

As long as Sting loses, I have no problem with him being in the title picture.

Reigns is miles better on the mic than Cesaro is. Cesaro can barely talk at all. Reigns can at least string coherent sentences together, even if he's nowhere near star-caliber on the mic.

Not sure I agree with this. Leading into Rumble & Mania, Reigns couldn't even get a sentence in without stuttering or messing up somehow. It got to the point where I had to turn it if he was on the TV.

At least Cesaro can back it up in the ring. Reigns lacks both mic skills and ring skills.

I actually want Sting to win it. Yes, he's old. Yes, he's a part timer. But it's STING. I see no harm in giving him a little run with the WWE Title. It'd make for an incredible moment, Rollins wouldn't lose much from it (since it's Sting), and they can always have Rollins win it back. Sting winning the WWE Title would be surreal to me.

Eh...Rollins will have plenty more title runs in his future where he can win clean. I agree it would be nice for them to let him win clean at least once at a PPV before he drops the title, but if he becomes a face after dropping it no doubt he'll win it back clean eventually.
