Fastlane Tonight - in Cleveland!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
So is it just me, or does Roman Reigns have like zero charisma? I saw his promo from last night and it was just bland and boring. He also let the crowd get to him, which is a big no-no when you're supposed to be a face. A heel acknowledging the crowd is fine. Well, at least if he counters their jeers with something that pisses them off even more. A face responding to chants like "what" and "boring" just makes him look like he has thin skin, which is doubly troubling for a guy like Reigns who is supposed to be a badass.

Anyway, it's just impossible for me to see him leading the WWE. You can't ascend that high in wrestling as a face if you can't get people fired up when you talk.

Still amazing

Pleasantly surprised they had Apollo Crews win the NXT battle royal to become the number one contender. I was equally surprised with how the crowd turned on Joe after he eliminated Tyler Breeze, especially since they cheered for Joe when he walked to the ring.

Either way, I haven't been terribly impressed by Samoa Joe since he debuted, so I'm glad that NXT apparently sees what I am seeing and went a different direction. I doubt Crews will win the title, but then again, no one thought Owens was going to take the title from Zayn either. I guess if Triple H thinks Balor is ready for a main roster debut, he could certainly drop the title so soon after winning it. I guess it would make sense...Balor has already proven he can headline a sold-out live event in a PPV size arena and get a massive pop. He's probably ready for the big leagues.

You didn't?

The WWE would never, ever, ever let that spot happen without serious reprocussions for those involved.

He could do a sit-down powerbomb, though. Basically the same impact for the fans.

Thats not the point. Zayn will always push the envelope and work a storyline,

thats why we keep seeing these former Roh guys be such a smash in NXT and making the transition to WWE

To be fair, you see a lot of indy guys make a transition to being great wrestlers, and then getting halted by lack of mic skills (or looks, unfortunately). The best thing for the WWE product, tbh, would be for Vince to die. HHH is putting out shows with less star power that are absolutely annihilating what Vince can come up with.

Okay is sami zayn not gonna make it to the WWE because of his looks or mic skills. because his mic skills are pretty solid.
guys who can cut a promo without scripting is what the WWE needs and these guys have it

That doesn't really apply to Owens or Zayn. Both of them are good on the mic.

I agree about Vince, though. He's stuck in the past. Hunter is actually moving the product forward and willing to invest in a new generation of talent rather than just ride Cena into the ground.

So supposedly Tyler Breeze is about to be moved up to the main WWE roster and is present in Dallas tonight for Raw. They're also saying they may pair him up with Summer Rae. Given that speculation is that Rusev is going to be punished by Vince for his engagement leaking and ruining that storyline, I'm guessing Breeze drops Rusev tonight.

I dont follow NXT like some of you do, so are the odds that Tyler Breeze actually becomes and stays relevant? Or is he just another Fandango/Adam Rose? Without knowing anything... his gimmick makes me think the later.

I'm not a huge fan of him to begin with. He's fine in the ring, but his character just annoys me. And I don't mean that in an effective heel way where he makes me hate him. I just find him annoying. He uses this fake voice for his character that is obnoxious because of how fake it sounds, which certainly doesn't help.

I mean, maybe they can make it work, but WWE creative's past work with former NXT mid-tier guys doesn't exactly inspire confidence. Rollins has certainly made it in the WWE, and Owens is well on his way, but both of those guys are just better in the ring and on the mic than Breeze is. I guess you could maybe compare him to Ambrose as far as ability goes, but Ambrose was given a much better gimmick when he made the leap to the main roster, and was paired up with Rollins, one of the best in-ring guys NXT has seen. I also think Ambrose can cut a better promo.
