Thoughts?
IMO, not really interested in much other than the IC Title and Royal Rumble match. We've seen Del Rio vs Kalisto and New Day vs Uso's so many times it feels like these two matches are just card filler and to wrap up the respective feuds. Charlotte and Becky Lynch have had a good storyline and the match should be fine for a divas match, but it's not going to pull me away from the 4th quarter of the NFC Championship game unless it's a blowout.
I like the idea of the qualifying match on the pre show, although I would be shocked if either the Dudley Boyz or Mark Henry and Jack Swagger didn't win it. The Ascension are a jobber tag team and Darren Young and Damien Sandow are two jobbers thrown together. Which, what happened to the Primetime Players? All of a sudden Titus O'Neil has been wrestling in singles matches and Darren Young has been absent from TV. I just assumed Young was hurt or something until seeing him paired with Sandow. Strange.
So far only 15 entrants have been announced for the Rumble, which I like because it keeps the element of surprise. It will be interesting to see if they include Owens, Ambrose, New Day, Del Rio, Kalisto, or Uso's. The past few years the WWE has not included guys in the Rumble that had individual matches earlier in the night.
Hoping for the best here. The past two Royal Rumbles have been two of the worst all time, last year especially, so the bar has been set pretty low.
