Favorite Sub & Sandwich Shops

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Everyone says Slymans, because people are afraid to go out on a limb. The corned beef sandwiches I've eaten the most in the Cleveland area are Tal's in Parma Heights. Top notch on the real Jewish rye bread.

Best corn beef in Parma? I cant believe it.

I am a fan of Corky and Lenny's, but that might be because the original owners are family friends.

Slyman's is a solid choice though, never heard of Tal's, but Parma...no, lol.

Oh great, we now have 2 active sub shop discussions...
In fairness I started this in 2015.

There are now two more sub shop threads than political threads. Things are looking up.

I understand that. Just wasn't sure why it was necessary to grave dig it. There's an active sub shop thread for a couple days. People's opinions change. A fresh thread is no reason to bump an old thread. I don't really care.. just seemed odd.

The other thread is about as "fresh" as Subway's yoga mat bread.

Stick a hoagie in it.

This much conversation about shitty ass subs....

We should be talking Sushi.

Look, I enjoy sushi as much as the next guy, but are you really going to talk shit on the entirety of sandwichdom? Cause suck a fart and die of AIDS if that's what you're bringing to the table.

In the South Sound they have a chain called Meconi's Italian Subs.

Their Philly Steak and Cheese is monumental. A mountain of meat.

Indianapolis food needs to put in a lot of effort to undo all the disappointment they put me through for two decades. They made me believe Hardee's was the best your people could provide.

Are they supposed to have a signature thing?

They do, its a breaded pork tenderloin. Huge sandwich that is twice the size as the bun.

In general though, food in Indiana sucks compared to many locations, but the signature tenderloin is decent.

Why did you live in Indiana so long?

I visited family outside of Indianapolis every year as a kid. Terrible food. Drove from Cleveland to Chicago a few years back and there has been zero improvement.

Ever have a pork tenderloin sandwich?

Agree the food is bad, but that is the one regional food there is in Indiana.

Well that and the humble pie Hoosier fans have had to eat recently.
