We need Mccain right now. If Obama is elected, alot of people will be out of jobs.

%56 of the U.S.A says Obama
%95 of the rest of the world wishes Obama

Who do I think should be president? McCain.

Who will be president? Obama. Mainly because he has run a much better campaign coupled with the fact that our media, who is much more interested in Sarah Palin's dress than the actual issues, has basically elected him.

McCain Palin will win because the media doesn't get to pick the President no matter how hard they try.

1.) It's not over. America is a center-right country and no one should believe in polls. People are afraid of moving out of their comfort zones, especially in suburbia. It will be very close, but I am confident Obama will win.

2.) Yeah, Barack has run a far better campaign. He has run a better campaign because he has engaged average people in the process. It's not just that, though. People see the merit in his ideas and believe that he can move our country forward. People also see how John McCain pretty much abandoned everything that made him unique back in 2000, only to suck up to the neo-cons of the world. The selection of Governor Palin (who only further embodies the anti-intellectualism and idiocy that characterizes the current administration) only pushes him further to the right, when he needs to be moving to the center.

Obama's policies are pragmatic and they aren't as far left as people make them out to be. The whole notion of "spreading the wealth around" has been beaten to death. The fundamental basis of a progressive tax system is the redistribution of wealth (duh, just look at the current tax brackets). Median wages in this country have been falling and the gap between the rich and the poor has only been getting wider. You may not think it's such a big deal, but there is a lot to be said for strengthening the middle class.

His tax cuts primarily benefits those working hard for a living. People making under $250,000 are lazier than the CEO pulling in 20million dollar bonuses, or some random NBA bench warmer scrub pulling in 500k? Last time I checked, medical internists average $180,000 annually, and they work around 60 hours/week...lazy indeed.

I do agree with conservatives that now isn't the time to implement tax hikes. At the same time, having a bright, articulate, multi-cultural leader with a clear vision for how our country should move forward is far more appealing to me than having a guy planning on continuing the translation of right-wing ideology to practice for another 4 years. Obama's ideas for healthcare are far superior to McCain's. A willingness to invest now in infrastructure and education will pay dividends down the road.

And for the record, it's not just the media that has elected him. I guess the rest of the world isn't too fond of an old man/dumb lady duo dressing up in "maverick" costumes for Halloween, either:

I don't think it is has as much to do with the merit of his ideas as you think. Listen to him talk, he is a fantastic orator. He could say "As president, I will making running a stop sign punishable by death", and people will eat it up.

I think many people see rhetoric like "Hope" and "Change" on a poster with his smiling face on it and think, "Hey, my life sucks, I could sure use some hope and change right about now" and don't really look at the full picture. "Hey, my life sucks under this party, let's try the other one," etc.

The smart thing his campaign has done is slap his face everywhere. I just was at CNN.com, a huge Obama ad on the screen. Go to ESPN.com, an Obama ad. I play Madden 09 online, guess what pops up, an Obama ad. I even saw one in a Grand Theft Auto IV game. I go to Ohio State. For much of the last few weeks I couldn't walk anywhere around the campus area without somebody with an Obama button asking me if I was registered to vote. Somebody even put an Obama sticker on every car in my parking lot last week. This kind of thing is going to win him a lot of votes. But I find it all just a huge turnoff.

If the Republicans get elected once more, you guys will look like a joke world wide.

To re-elect bush after winning with fraud the first time... HELLO!?
Obama / Biden is your country's new redeem-team!:king:

McCain Palin will win because the media doesn't get to pick the President no matter how hard they try.

No the republican party usually takes care of that behind the scenes.

Nothing personal, but I could really care less what someone in Australia or the entire country of France thinks about America...you don't live here, you don't own a business here, you don't pay taxes here. Other nations hate Bush because of the war, I get that. Both candidates want to get out of Iraq...just two different approaches. Everyone may think we're a joke, but the minute Ireland starts to invade France, they'll immediately surrender, then they'll be begging us for help as usual. The minute Iran starts shooting missiles at everyone in their reach, the world will be hitting speed dial to the good old USA.

Obama will win because of the current financial crisis. Bush is President so he gets all the blame. The voters don't understand that the housing, banking and credit crisis had nothing to do with Bush policies....NOTHING. It wasn't the Republicans that thought everyone in America should be able to get a loan despite their inability to pay it back. It wasn't the Republicans that blocked the housing reform bill in 2005.

We need a President that will control congress's spending. Unfortunately that's not going to happen with Obama. A Democratic congress, a liberal media, and a liberal President is a terrible combination...there are no more checks and balances. Their attempts to redistribute the wealth is going to cause massive unemployment. Obama wont be this NEW leader that has been sold to the public. This will be a tax and spend administration. He can say that 95% of people's taxes will go down, but his trillion dollars in spending will have to come from somewhere....and that's us! Hitting small businesses with higher income taxes, higher corporate taxes, capital gains taxes, and death taxes doesn't create jobs - IT ELIMINATES THEM! It's that simple. The country was at FULL employment for most of the Bush presidency. I predict the country won't be at full employment for one day under the Obama/Pelosi administration.

Pelosi, Reid and Barney are going to control Obama like a puppet. The most liberal people in America now have complete control of the country. Obama will make no effort to unite the parties as he has promised. They have complete control and they will abuse it.

Good luck everyone...you are going to need it.
