Hey guys, wrong place, but there’s a lot of action here, just an FYI. Terry Francona is not well. I don’t think he’s going to be continuing on as tribe manager…say a quick prayer if you believe in that sort of thing.

Edit: now seeing some people on Twitter saying this as well but nothing official yet from a reporter

It is everywhere now. Wow.

Interesting that Sandy doesn't have a role after this. But I'm not sure "stepping away" is probably the right wordage. As Mandy Bell wrote, a leave of absence is probably a better way to say it.

Best to Tito.

Is it odd that Alomar is not the guy? Seems a bit weird.

I questioned last year whether or not his health might be deteriorating to a point that it might not be worth it for him to keep pushing through.

He’s done a lot for this organization and I’ll be thankful for that regardless of whether he’s able to return to the dugout down the road.

I don’t know much about the rod in his foot, but those that I know who have gotten hip replacements (my dad included) wished they would have done it sooner after realizing how much better they felt once it healed.

He's under contract for one more season. I have to imagine that if all goes well between now and Spring Training, that next season will be his farewell tour and where he passes Lou Boudreau for most managerial wins in club history.

My thoughts as well.

Arguably, the Guardians name is the only good thing to happen to the Tribe in 2021. Here’s hoping Tito makes a full recovery.

I believe we (me and @Kevalier) talked about this early in the year that the main reason Sandy took over in Tito’s absence last year was because our bench coach at the time, Brad Mills, had opted out of the season.

Sliding the bench coach over to manager makes the most sense from a logistical standpoint.

Also it's entirely possible that Sandy didn't like the job of interim manager.
Anyway, hope Tito is able to get his health in check and be back with us in 2022. Him and John Adams both.

Damn, Tito!! We need Tito. 2022 I hope he's back and better than ever.
