I'd take a flyer on Bol in a heartbeat and see how he meshes with Mobley and Allen. If he sucks, then he sucks.

It may be the sample size.. but Bol Bol's relevant three point shooting was not good last season.

He shot 27% on catch and shoot 3s and 30% on corner 3s.

It was a weird season for Bol Bol. I wonder if I can find splits for catch and shoot and corner 3s on different parts of the season.

Because his first 41 games he scored 11.9 Points on 58.4% from the field, 74% from the FT line and 36.1% from 3. He also grabbed 6.8 RPG and 1.6 BPG.

But the final 29 games went completely different. He fell down to 5.1 Points on 44.7 from the field, 80.6% from the FT line and 09.8% from 3. He also had his rebounds and blocks drop to 4.3 RPG and 0.7 BPG.

For him to start the season on a such a crazy run then completely dissappear the 2nd half is interesting. If the Cavaliers think they can get close to how he produced the first 41 games he's easily worth a flier. If they think the 2nd half was a reflection of who Bol Bol is as a player. I hope they stay far away. I do want to know what could cause such a fall.

A talent like this is just out there to be had….He’s gonna put it together and when he does it’s gonna be majorly beneficial for his team…

I mean I would call it catching fire if it was for a few games. But he was a nice role player for Magic for the entire first half last season. I'm not suggesting we sign him. But he flashed some real long term potential and it was a 41 game sample size where he did so. I would also prefer someone who is more consistent. We aren't in a position to be patient with a player. We need someone who can contribute on a nightly basis if injuries hit. Bol Bol will help win you some games but will also make his team lose some games.

I sign him as a 4th big to a minimum contract and cut/trade him if he sucks or has a bad attitude.

I didn't copy it, but I saw a guy on Twitter who claimed to know him talk about how much of a pain in the ass he is and how he doesn't love basketball and is just tall.

Said he is really arrogant. I don't understand that part when he is getting dropped by teams. Maybe he doesn't want to get on the floor that badly?

Sort of telling that the Cavs seem to have shown 0 interest in Wood, Bol, or Bamba. All seemingly fit an obvious need. If they are avoiding them all because of attutude, maybe that bodes well for Emoni?

I mean if you forgo a proven scorer like Wood because of attitude issues, then maybe they think Bates is not a problem in the locker room.

Funny, that’s what I noticed too. Multiple times he rebounded and went coast to coast, essentially with blinders on.

Issue is Bol Bol is a headcase that has proven several times to be difficult to coach. Emoni Bates is a headcase that hasnt had the chance to prove he is difficult to coach. Not sure I want 2 headcases on the team at a time, one reclamation project at a time.
