Game 1 | Cavs (0-0) vs Knicks (0-1) | October 30, 2014 | 8pm EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Dion just pisses me off sometimes. If he just knew his role better, he'd be a great compliment. He doesn't think he's a compliment in any situation, though...

What did he do last night to piss you off? I remember like one bad shot, but the other three main guys took at least one bad shot each themselves. I thought he played pretty well last night.

LeBron was the guy who played like shit.

yea I can't say anything bad about Dion.. actually IMO he and Kyrie could have and should have attacked the rim more because NY had nobody to D them up 1 on 1 or protect the rim.. he did have some trouble with Smith on D but JR is a good scorer

I was at the game last night, and it was one of the most unbelievable days and experiences I've ever had in sports, even with the loss.

Downtown was PACKED! Shoulder to shoulder, wall to wall. We got to the East Garage about 3:15, and 10 minutes later they put out signs that it was full.

Kendrick Lamar show and the fan fest area was super well done and awesome to see.

I put together a whole post about the new tech at the Q in the "Q renovations and improvements" thread, but long story short, Humongotron beyond awesome, sound system okay. Wifi was actually working great too.

Oh, and come playoff time, you might need earplugs at the game. It was deafening early in the game. Unfortunately it turned to a nervous quiet after we started sucking, but I don't even care. I just can't believe this is our team, and that we are going to be on top of the NBA for the better part of the next decade.

Performance-wise, Ive said over and over, both on here and to friends, that we are gonna have a slow, nerve wracking start. Just like Miami did. They were .500 through Christmas in 2010, and I wouldnt be surprised if we are too. We are gonna have worse losses than this. I just wish yesterday wasn't one of them, but oh well. If I'm at the Q in June I couldn't possibly care less about yesterday's result.

But after Christmas? I'll be shocked if we lose more than about 9 games between then and the end of the year.

What the hell did you watch last night? If you watched that game and came to this conclusion after the shitshow we saw then you don't know basketball. Dion was the least of our problems last night. He played a good game. I actually thought he could've been more aggressive.

Varejao was looking great out there (till the bonehead moves in the 4th)
LeBron was....just not there mentally
Love was doing good
Dion was trying too hard
Kyrie wasn't hardly using any footwork

WHY DID EVERYONE DEFER TO LEBRON LIKE THIS WAS 2007?!?

What do these statements even mean?

It's just been a culmination of the pre-season, last year and last night. Like I said, he pisses me off sometimes because he gets tone def to the atmosphere in the game and has no issue jacking up a jumper when covered, regardless of the time on the shot clock.

LeBron was the guy who played like shit.

I'm not blaming the loss on Dion, so please don't do that.

A loss. If you need to hear my opinion on this, address my convo with Jack.

Well that didn't happen once last night, so I don't know why you brought it up in the game thread. If he would have taken more than 9 shots we might have won.

Yeah, I was kinda confused about that statement too. I was annoyed with Dion for the back half of preseason, but I thought he played really well and within his role last night. I dunno.

Lebron - Agree
Love - did well, but missed the most important shot he took.
Dion - I thought he played well. Hit a big three, played some nice ball denial defense at times.
Kyrie - came to play

So....your bias? That's cool.

Getting upset with Dion for his play last night is literally ridiculous. He took 9 shots and made 4 (44% is a decent FG%), played great perimeter defense (especially late on JR Smith), and he kept the ball moving. He played within his role...a little bit too much in fact.

He took 1 pull-up jumper in transition that I cringed at but that was his only bad shot of the game. Again, still confused at to where this criticism is coming from. We had many glaring problems last night but Dion wasn't related to any of them.

I'm NOT debating bias with a Dion honk about Dion.
