Game 1 | Cavs @ Chicago | October 27th, 2015 | 8:00pm EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Holy hell....just looked at the betting odds for NBA futures. The Cavs at 14/5 is just utterly stupid.

It's the same odds as the Patriots winning the SB (today) and you have already seen over 1/3rd of the NFL regular season.

I get that they're the favorite but who is making a pre-season futures bet at less than 3/1? Seems crazy. There has to be so little money on the Cavs.

I'm excited, I'm nervous, I expect a loss since we aren't at full strength.
Did I mention I'm nervous?

But I'm still happy the season is here.

Let's go Cabs!

Oh here's to Mirotic jacking up a ton of 3's, he sucks at 3's but thinks he is good at shooting them.
And here's to Noah gettting a lot of minutes, they should make him play with a fork sticking out of him.

The hype isn't quite the same (obviously) as last year on opening night, but I'm still super excited to watch Cavs basketball again!

Oh yeah and f*ck Chicago!

Don't they blackout local games? Any way to get around this? Trick them of your ISP location? @gourimoko

In general there are a couple of ways to do this. DNS services can often help fix geolocation blocking; and tunlr is pretty popular for this.

Considering the cost of NBA League Pass though, I'd strongly recommend just running two separate OpenVZ (+tun/tap enabled) or KVM Linux VPNs running OpenVPN, and use servers based in two different cities/states. This way you can just rotate connections and never can be blocked out.

The cost for a usable OpenVZ container with sufficient bandwidth can be as cheap as $15/year. You'd need 2 of these, so think of it as a $30/year additional expense, but you can use this for a LOT more than just watching basketball games.. ;)

Using OpenVPN also allows you to easily setup your devices. I'd use PPTP as a backup.

This is a sure-fire way to spoof your location.
