Also just want to say - I'm not a ref complainer - but holy shit was the reffing in that game lopsided as hell. The Bulls were getting bailed out all night long with touch fouls while we got hammered with no contact all damn game.

It was for sure home court ref'ing at its best. I get it for the start of the season with Obama and I expected it and a loss. However if this keeps up all season like it did last year... Then man oh man I say we riot.

I say a plus from this game is Mo. He played smart and took great shots. J.R was for sure the low point. T.T while everyone losing reality over I expected this tonight. Love gave me hope and those two threes at the end man. When he hits his grove and his body starts to mold he will be clutch. Irving and Shump need to get back ASAP as they are x factors on opposite ends.

Never like to start the season on a sour note and its always bitter sweet to lose to the Chicago Bulls but I saw way more important facets than the outcome of the game.

Williams was the biggest positive I saw out there. He finished with 19 points and when Irving gets back out there, whew they are on lock for the point guard position.

Another big thing was the play of Love. While he was extremely slow the entire game, he hit some timely shots in the final quarter and showed just how well he can spread the floor. Plus I think he reminded us all how good of a big man passer he is.

Also with honorable mention to the new oldie, Jefferson. I can already tell he is going to contribute more than Marion did and that isn’t a knock on Marion at all. This cat has some gas left in the tank and scored 10. And I was a tad nervous to see Thompson but he was his old self with 12 boards.

It would have been nice to win IN Chicago, but the Bulls seemed to play like they were trying to prove something. I think Kenny Smith said it best, they won the game but they won without Cleveland playing at any significant level. I am beyond excited for Cleveland this season, if game 1 was any indicator from a player perspective how the season is going to go, it might be a nice one. Aside from the streak that is Smith.

Kenny Smith for once made a real great point. I saw the same thing. The Bulls played as hard as they could. we loafed looked lost, Moz looking better but in real season form still slow. Bron looked cramped, Love looked like he was starting to find it in the 4th. Thompson looked rusty. And we lost by two. Oh with no Irving or Shump... I feel pretty good about this team.

I hate to be that guy, but the refs were god awful tonight.

BTW, did we have any timeouts left at the end? I noticed that the play Blat called w/ 3 seconds left got broken up, so I feel like he should have called another TO (if he had one)

They didn't, all gone.

Damn only lost by 2

Crazy they should of lost by 20 at the Bulls and playing all injured

The east just ain't big time

Disappointed in the Bulls I thought they would test us this season

Oh well

Go cavs

If any NBA fan can not see some of the plays that kept us in the game. Basically LeBron and Blatt have a vision. I seen some amazing ball movement mixed with pick and roll ISO and roll. This is where Jefferson and Mo fit perfect.

This was one game and we all see LeBron and his "slow" starts. Obama was there and this is the NBA so yeah like king watching his warriors in his home town of course the refs will favor them.

Finally who the fuck cares about how much money a player makes. As long as said player does his job and pushes over the top then he is worth it. Being paid little myself for the work I do. I feel Gilbert is giving his guy a shot and my boss has done that for me in a way. Get over it he makes more than us. Go Cavs.

Best part of the game for me was how fluid our ball movement looked, even with bench players and not that much game time together. 26 assists to 10 TOs, and would have been even more if not for our shitty shooting. We also limited the LeIsos to just a few possessions.

yea the assists were really great to see. tops in the league last year was 27 per game. beautiful

Wow the Bulls played really close to their ceiling i get from the game yet we only played great in spurts. and we still only lost by 2 on a questionable non foul on a Lebron drive.

I can live with that.

I have to give credit to the Bulls defense too. They are a good defensive Team under Hioberg too.

No excuses we could have defended some threes a bit better. we let them shoot quite a bit over their last seasons average from three. In a tight game like this even 1 better contested three or a run off shooter can literrary be the difference.

I liked what i saw overall though.

Lebrons 36 minutes doesnt seem like 36 at all. i thought he played 30 at most. This is what great minute managing looks like. he had alot of rest in terms of 4-5 minute stretches at the time. and he was pretty fresh during the 4th. His jumper seems to be back(his midrange) and he looks alot like 2014 Miami Lebron. Playing of the ball more, shooting mostly only good shots, defending, rebounding.

Love had a slow start but came along nicely. He will have better shooting games most nights. loved his passing. Mirotic was a nightmare for him on defense though. Love has become a decent 1v1 Post defender and masterfull charge taker.. but he is not good at defending a guy like Mirotic on the perimeter.

Mozgov did a fantastic job vs Gasol on defense despite looking a bit rusty still.

JR had a bit of a off game but did a solid job on Butler.

I LOVED Mo. period. nuff said.

TT was a total no show on offense but grabed 12 rebounds in 25 minutes.

Andy was ok

Delly was fine.

RJ is everything i hoped for in a Lebron back up or even smallball stretch 4 option(like JJ was last year). He hits his threes.he at least puts effort in on defense and he still has his legs.

Overall for a loss i am suprisingly positive. We have room to improve but we also are missing 2 starters. Our 2nd best Player possibly and our best perimeter defender.

I think we will amass a solid 16-9 record till Kyrie and Shump are back and then go onto one of those "two 10 game win streaks only broken by 1 loss in between" runs.

One thing that bugs me is our endbounds play at the end..Blatt should not have had Mo throwing it in..everyone knows they're looking for Lebron and they had him locked.

I feel like this should upset me, but I can't bring myself to care at all. Does anyone really think we're going to lose to this team in the playoffs?
Lol at the idea of Mirotic blowing kisses at the Cavs.

That's like a turd popping back out of the toilet and waving at you 24 hours after you flushed it the day before.

This was a disastrous move by Mirotic. It's the most important thing that happened last night. Because you just KNOW that LeBron knows about it, and you just don't want angry LeBron.

My biggest positive was how well Mo, RJ and Andy played. Mo and RJ won't score as efficiently for the whole year, but if what we got from these 3 last night is a reasonable baseline for the rest of the year, I really like our bench.

I agree that we had some bright spots while shaking off a lot of rust; not concerned about anything this early.

Kenny Smith did spew some of his usual drivel in the pre-show though by saying a healthy Cavs team wouldn't have beat the Warriors in this past finals. We almost beat them missing two all-stars, we would have demolished them if Irving/Love were playing.

Next two games are going to be against a couple teams that are expected to make the playoffs; hope we can get things moving forward.
