Game 17 | Cavs vs Bulls | Saturday November 30, 2013 7:30 PM ET

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Bynum: 30 Min, 20 Pts, 10 Rebs, 5 Blks
TT: 14 Pts, 14 Rebs, 2 game clinching FT
Dion: 8-10, 20 Pts (4 TO notwithstanding)
Kyrie: 19 Pts, 6 Assts, 0 TO (7-21 notwithstanding)

This truly was a team & defensive win.

We went away from the hot hand too much, and Kyrie wasted a few possessions in the 4th by trying to do too much again, but overall I think things looked a lot better within the system, specifically Kyrie (despite the few possessions I mentioned).

BTW: Is anyone else worried that Deng just played himself into a trade here? :chuckles:

Good to see us get a win, but the real truth is that we won bc we actually made open shots. If we shoot out usual sub .40 we lose. Granted the ball movement was better and getting Bynum going was nice to see, but I worry about our ability to consistently score like an NBA team.

I didn't even really notice how poorly he shot until the 4th quarter when he started overdribbling and forcing shit again. Through the first 3 quarters he didn't stop the ball and set up his teammates a few times with nice looks, so that was definitely progress.

I would take Deng as long as we don't give them Dion or Kyrie.

So can someone MS Paint the next game thread too?

The ball movement that led to open shots in the first half was refreshing. The Bulls uglied things up in the 2nd half, and the Cavs really stagnated at times (like when Bynum was out) but it looked like actual teamwork leading to good shots, rather than just hitting crazy stuff with defenders draped on them.

you have your two big men shooting under 42% . this is more of an aberationn and not from taking open shots. they are battling in the paint. these are definate room for improvement.

the second lead shot attempt maker is Waiters who is on an upswing. He isnt rushing shots and he is taking them in sync or rythm of the offense.

Kyrie has already shown he can shoot and score at a higher efficiency.

The low forties shooting is a symptom. whether you think their open shots or not.

Ranked at 20th the offense certainly has room for improvement. The coaches have already admitted the sacrificed working ont he offensive side of the ball all preseason and training camp. this unit offensively is in its infancy.

That would be a protected pick, of course.

If Deng were here, we just might get back in the hunt. I would gladly surrender a high lotto pick for the chance to re-gain respectability.
