Game 19 | Cavs @ Hawks | Friday December 06, 2013 7:30 P.M. ET

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Mike Brown presser, being goaded into ripping on Kyrie and is just saying the guys on the floor were playing hard so he went with them. Of course not saying why he benched Kyrie halfway into the 3rd. Way to not call a spade a spade, Mike.

This is the same thing he's done with other players. Doesn't typically call them out. The minutes are the message.

I'm not saying he's currently playing at an all-star level.

then you agree witht he poster your arguing with. you also thanked a guy saying Kyrie felt he was too good to play in cleveland.. nice

Down 42-20 and I switched to the MAC Championship Game. BG Falcons are going to cost the MAC $8 million by beating NIU. Up at the half by 18 and looking real good doing it. What can I say?

O-H ! Can I have an I-O ?

Says plenty about a coach not publicly calling out players. There's no need for that when benching someone sends the same message with less fodder for the talking heads. I don't disagree with it one bit.

I feel like Kyrie Irving is the biggest bullshitter outside of Akron.

I was about to come on here and make fun of kyrie in his post game interview.. then he said "at the end of the day" Irving has conceded leadership to waiters. Now he can start balling again

Damn. You fact checkin people. I respect that you are treating this forum like a presidential debate.

Uh huh. He's gonna carry himself now. It looks like he's made that decision and I don't blame him.

Kyrie is third in usage rate, third in fga, and is shooting under 40% from the field and around 30% from 3pt. There's being supportive, then there's being oblivious.

Just out of curiosity, who other than Dion is ahead of him in those categories?

He should never defend on the perimeter. Blame Mike Brown for that. Bennett is a PF and only a PF. This SF thing is a mistake..... Mike Brown should try to actually develop the kid, not change his position and hope he's magically improved....

I have been saying the biggest weakness MB has is developing young talent. Imagine that...we have the youngest team in the league! MB rather play veterans all day. Some people bring up Delly as him playing young players, but Delly doesn't need development. Delly is what he is and thats an energy player with a pretty low ceiling. I dont see him developing any new aspects to his game (he might get better with experience). I would love to be wrong though but thats just my opinion.

Start Dion and live with him and Kyrie playing together. It will get better with experience. You have to go with it until you know that it won't work. Thats two road games in a row where we bring in our second best (ARGUABLY best player) down double digits. The better lineup that consists of him and the starters are forced to play catch up for the rest of the game.

Now, he has a talking Milk Dud telling him to push the ball while simultaneously asking him to wait for Hot Knee Bynum to set up in the post. LMAO...man, you damn right he's on the phone with his All-Star friends planning his escape. Grant has MISSED on three straight top 4 picks. His backcourt mate should be Klay. His center should be Drummond. Grant could have taken ANYONE other than Bennet and they'd be set.

Jesus Christ, I don't usually literally laugh out loud and stuff, but that had me going for a couple of minutes.

Thank you.

To blame the loss on Kyrie is stupid. It's his fault they scored 37 points in the first quarter when Milsap and Horford were raping inside?

No, they were not. Rebounds were nearly even...50 to 47. Kyrie had a bad game. Not the first, nor the last.

Sorry to break it to you, but you NEED really good players around you to win. You wanna know what Kyrie is seeing, while you basketball experts keep moaning about his passing instincts?

Pick and rolls with Tristan and Andy: Neither can consistently knock down a 15 footers and Tristan is SCARED to take it, so he pump fakes and barrels into the lane, which is either a miss, foul or, more than likely, a turnover.

Kick outs to the wings: That kid has had ALONZO GEE in the corner for two years now. While Steph Curry has Harrison Barnes and Wall has Ariza, He has GEE. I'm not even gonna waste my time looking at the numbers, because I know Gee is one of the worse from the corners in the last two years. And, for all the love given to him the last month, Dion is no Beal or Klay. Sorry, he's not.

Seriously...no one can say a word when he's gone. You can't keep surrounding this kid with broken pieces and say you're building "WITH HIM" and then when stuff goes left, everyone goes "Oh, well, he's supposed to be a superstar...he's supposed to carry us."

My favorite type of poster. Would give Kyrie all the credit if the team was winning. Gives everyone but Kyrie all the blame when the team is losing.

Kyrie could literally take a dump at center court while giving the double bird and yelling "fuck Cleveland" and some of you would still blame Mike Brown and TT/insert player here.

It's quite hilarious.

There are definitely some valid points here. I agree you need good players around Kyrie. However, he played sooo much better his first two years with SIGNIFICANTLY less talent than this years team. You could make the argument that MB is holding him back, but as much as people hate on Dion he has been playing really well when given consistent minutes and the opportunity. Kyrie has had numerous opportunities to play better this year. I think he will turn it around, personally. I hope he does and I hope that we can make Kyrie and Dion work in the starting lineup. Dion can be a legitimate 2nd option on a good team and possibly on a contending team (only his 2nd year). I have been disappointed with Kyrie in that he knew he was going to be given more responsibility on a talented team and he hasn't responded as well as I hoped he would.
