Game 23 | Cleveland @ Miami | 12/14/13 | 7:30pm ET

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Overall, great road trip. We were 1-10 in road games before this, and played possibly our 2 best road games to this point back to back. Don't have much to complain about, hopefully we keep it going vs. Portland.

I read the ESPN recap, and all they talk about is James, Wade,Bosh and Irving.. Its not unexpected, but my impression of the game included Dion and Andy... Guess I am a homer.

They have an entire staff in the NBA section dedicated to "Heat Check: Your Daily Miami Heat Updates". I don't think they give a shit about the team they're playing 9.5 out of 10 times.

lol, who would have thought LeBron would be the most likeable player on that team.

Every time we play them I'm reminded of how much I hate Wade.

Bosh, Allen, Chalmers, they're all babies too. Battier is the only one that keeps his mouth shut.

Things that stick out are the pace. and EFG. The teams fg% dropped nearly 20 points when they were both on the court The pace indicates the Waiters, Irving squads were effective either way. but Irving's 12 minutes were both at the beginnings of the halves meaning the team was relatively fresh. The assist percentage indicates the ball moved a bit more when Dion was on the court but it didnt translate into the Irving, Waiters lineup
Irving and Waiters combined for 16 shots. the rest of the team 15. with Dion and Irving shooting about 33%. Thompsons was third in attempts and ofllowed suit with a 25% EFG.
Irvings lineup combined him with Thompson for 14 shots. both shot about 71% at this time frame the rest of the starting lineup combned for 8 shots.
The interesting thing about Dions lineup is that Jack took most of the shots.Where Clark and Jack combined for 16 shots. yet the scoreline comes out Waiters 11, Jack 10 and Clark 10.

This crew also had zero Bynum and 2 possesions with Tristan Thompson.

What really sticks out here is that Miami took no 3 pointers when Dion was off the court. Typically this means that the opponent is penetrating at will. whch i beleive the tape would support.

just a side note.

Thompson scored 15 of 16 of his points with Bynum on the court. Irving scored 11 of his 19 with bynum on the court and shot 71.4%

Waiters, Thompson, Bynum and Irving were on the court for 5 minutes and 10 possesions. Bynum and Irving shot zero times. Waiters and Thompson combined for 6 shots.

Just like last time, didn't get "super" blown out (see: Spurs game), only this team came back with a real fight. Only way to lose and not be too mad about it. We'll eventually get 'em once this team has a SF/3 point threat

It's good to see the team show fight when they were down, on the road, against a better opponent and on the 2nd of back to backs. It didn't translate to a win, but it's progress.

Also don't forget, the cHeat were off for a couple days before the game against us..
