Random Quotes and Articles from a Dysfuntional Team
LINKOn Jefferson's postgame comments that teams have been frustrating him by faking double-teams, Wittman said it's partly the big man's fault.
"Right now, he's gotten back into the mode of waiting to see if they double-team instead of attacking and forcing them to double-team," Wittman said. "He's doing nothing to put them on their heels right now. ... He's got to attack quicker and harder."
LINKRandy Wittman said he might need to rely on his veterans to find somebody -- anybody -- willing and able to follow that evening's game plan.
LINK[Mike Miller] is a career 46 percent shooter, and 40 percent from three-point range. But Miller has tried to work his way into the Wolves' offense slowly this year, and has passed up shots he didn't hesitate to try in his previous nine NBA seasons.
The Wolves would like to see Miller [shoot more], even if it means living with occasional 2-for-10 outings like he had in Saturday's loss to Denver.
LINKFans yelled out toward McHale the names of Mayo and Portland's Brandon Roy -- two players that McHale drafted and traded away -- late in the game and at least one fan yelled for the dismissal of coach Randy Wittman.
LINKThe Wolves were 38-105 under coach Randy Wittman, who was fired today. Kevin McHale will give up his front-office duties to concentrate on coaching the team.
