Game 29 | Cleveland @ Phoenix | December 21, 2009 | 9:00 EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This game pissed me off.

I didn't watch a single minute of it besides the highlights. We beat Phoenix by 28 in their building, where they hadn't lost before tonight, yet we lose to the Dirk-less Mavs.

Fuck this team. I want homecourt. Granted, I posted earlier I don't care what our record is if we win the championship, but I'd still like some comfort that we have homecourt (which worked so well last year...).

When was the last time we beat Boston in Boston? Can we do it this year? I'd like to have HCA against Boston, if no one else. LA is obviously going to CHARGE their way to HCA no matter how big of a BUCK gets in their way, so that's a lost cause.

I agree that this team's inconsistent play and focus is very frustrating. However, at least they seem to be getting amped and focused for the big games this year. Our losses are primarily to subpar teams, or good teams who had big injuries (i.e. this Dallas game). That is a MUCH better sign than last year, when we'd absolutely pound the subpar teams, and never beat the top teams. This year we've already won in Orlando (yes, they had injuries, so did we), Phoenix (undefeated at home since March until last night), etc.

I still think there need to be some big improvements for this Cavs team, coming both from a trade and from within our current roster. But I don't think there's reason to freak out or say "fuck this team." I think they're already much more prepared for the playoffs since they seem to get extra focused for the tougher games. Hopefully as the season moves on, we'll see this focus more and more for every game though. And hopefully we'll see a healthy West,, a healthy Powe, and at least 1 new addition via trade.

I believe we should be prepared for a sub game against the Kings tomorrow, but a win anyway. I also believe the Cavs are getting amped up for the Friday ABC game. I think we will play our best game of the year on Friday, and I also think the game will show exactly why we obtained Shaq,... and will put a stop to the whining.
