Game 3 | Cavs (1-1) @ Trail Blazers (1-2) | November 4, 2014 | 10pm EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Lebron still trolling us...lol

I'm back!! except for my back

Our big issue though is we really don't have an alternative at the the 2.

The only option is playing a bigger lineup where Marion plays the 2 on defense and LBJ plays the 2 on offense.

Delly is just not a guy who can log significant minutes. He's solid in smaller spurts but if we're relying on him late in games, on a consistent basis, I think we're going to struggle. Especially when one of the stars plays poorly.

If Dion is in any sort of funk, I would assume we'll be looking to make a move before the deadline. There is no way we can head in to the post-season with Delly logging heavy minutes.

Off the top of my head - Mike Miller. I'd even be willing to give Joe Harris a shot at this point. Waiters is ridiculously talented but even more selfish right now. Seems like his mindset is "these guys think they're better than me? Well let me just hit this tough shot and they'll respect me."

But my biggest issue with tonight, and I think it can be fixed fairly soon, is the lack of constant ball movement. So much dribbling on a team with so many great passers is just absurd. Instead of waiting for a double team they just put their heads down and charge. We had flashes of actual plays drawn, but the rest seemed like garbage basketball. Maybe Blatt is to blame. But I really want to see this team gel. We deserve it.

Gonna just keep quoting myself over and over again til Christmas. NoSTEREOdamus.

Yup. I'm actually gonna be surprised if we start better than 1-2, and I think 0-3 is realistic now that we lost against New York.

But it won't stop radio and TV and Twitter from being completely insufferable.

Fuck this game called basketball, i'm gonna watch some disney

The balls stops as soon as it reaches KI,
this is absurd

Seriously, the offense should have went through Love once Blatt realized Kyrie and Lebackache were hot garbage tonight.

He's clearly not 100%, but he's also afraid of posting up. There are ways he can get some easy buckets, but I've watched him enough to know that part of it is him being passive. It's what he does when he doesn't have the ball on his hands enough. He did had 7 boards and 7 assists, but he never scored in the second half of the game, that had nothing to do with him not being fully healthy, but him being in super passive mode. I hate that part of his game.

yea hes being passive but even since the first preseason game he has been playing under the rim. He cant beat anyone off the dribble. Hes air balling easy jumpers. He just looks like he has no legs left. He started to look like that last season as well in the finals.

Blatt can't everything at the moment.
Players don't change over night but for KI is seems quite the opposite.
Lebron is waiting for his dosage so we might be ok..

The first 6 minutes showed us a glimpse of what this offense can be. It's going to take time to get this Blatt offense installed, but to get some confidence, we need to slam pick and roll and then spread the court and out it in James's hands. We need confidence.

1. We lost out at a chance of building a lead because of POOR REBOUNDIG of all things. Andy and the guards are letting everyone get around them and grab boards. The positive there is that we won't see that very often, but the bad is that it's annoying as he'll.

2. Blatt has to set the rotations so that ONE of Love, James, Kyrie is on the floor. Those lineups at the beginning of the 2nd and 4th quarters against te Blazers' scrubs simply couldn't score. 34 in the first quarter and then 40 in about 30+ minutes? WTF? Why the fuck was Tristan taking a bunch of jumpers? I think Marion and James seem to play well together though and I think we see more of that.

4. Dion is lost right now. He is better than this scrubby player that does nothing right--no shooting, no rebounding, not much defense, no driving, nothing in the open floor, etc. He HAS to find his place. He can't be this bad all year.

5. This team can be good enough without James being the best player in the world, but it cannot contend for anything. James playing like James gives us a chance to be 3-0 right now even with all of our current shortcomings. He has to be able to pressure on the defense and when we spread the floor out, he has to either score or get to the line. If he's hurt, he needs to sit out until he's better. We are looking at an all-time top 2-3 PER, RAPM, VORP, WS/48, BPM, etc., etc., player playing like a replacement player. His last two seasons here were as good as any seasons played by any player ever. We're not gettig anythig like that. We can't win big with him playing the way. I hope, hope, hope, hope, it's him playing himself into shape, because if not, and it's all the miles...I can't even type it out. That weird look on his face...I don't know.

6. Kyrie got so badly destroyed out there that it's embarrassing. I don't think he can play that poorly again this year.

7. I love Love.

8. We looked good in preseason and even though "it is only preseason," we can't go from looking competent to completely falling apart. The offense has to be great because this defense can never be anythig more than average. I knew we would have to adjust, but I never though we would be a team shooting below 40% after 3 games.

I'd be worried... if the regular season actually meant something.

We have until April to get our shit together. This is just an extended preason to me.

Most of the team looked hungover tonight.

With the emphasis on "with Andy, Tristan & Kevin, we should never lose a rebounding game," something tells me that losing the rebounding game in the first 2/3 games early on is rather reflective of the team struggling to figure themselves out in these inital stages of the season.

I think LBJ will be fine. As the 4th went on, this seemed like a trainer teaching a stubborn dog a lesson.

LeBron was holding the end of Kyrie's leash and letting him run to the end of it over and over again.

I think Irving needs to understand that he's the 3rd option on offense and maybe LeBron was showing Kyrie that him trying to play ISO ball all half is not going to get them anywhere.
