Game 31, Hornets @ Cavs, Wednesday, February 22nd @ 7:00 PM ET

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Do we know why Samardo isnt getting minutes? Did he fuck Byron's wife or something that we dont know about? I think its really strange how he just stopped getting minutes. I'd much rather watch him over Luke and Hollins, the whole thing is weird

he is behind semeh, hollins and Luke in getting minutes

as one of our bigs that Actually has post moves its bizarre

I am now convinced that all 3 of our coaches are dumbasses. Byron Scott is a liar, Pat Shumur shows no emotion, and Manny Acta is just plain dumb.

Yea I was teetering, but this loss to New Orleans really does it for me!

I would question Byron more if he had any talent outside of 3 or 4 guys, and you people ripping him for not throwing a 22% free throw shooter out there at crunch time are obviously wasted. You cant seriously be ripping the coach for not playing Luke Harangody and the immortal Manny Harris more, can you, with a straight face?

These game threads are comedy gold, I tell ya...

Apologize for the inability to create the gamethread, had alot of stuff on my plate this past week.

With Byron's recent comments about there being a possibility of "four really, really dumb players" not being able to get the playbook down, I wouldn't be surprised if Samardo was in Byron's doghouse. Call it a hunch, but I'd be willing to bet money Samardo is one of that four.

Wow, hey buddy, how's about a little fuck you. I seem to recall Tristan playing closing minutes in a game this season....oh wait, that was just last night! And the game before that, too! And....we won both games! And....Tristan was a part of it with his defense, rebounding, and hustling! Oh, and it wasn't just "crunch time" tonight, it was the entire fourth quarter that TT didn't play. And Harangody brought us back in the game tonight because of....his rebounding and hustling! You'd think Tristan might have brought some of that if he played in the fourth. But no, Jamison came in and grabbed one rebound in five minutes, shot 1/3 and had a turnover, played terrible defense and gave up at least one very critical rebound.

Not to mention this is the game right after when Byron said he liked to play his best defensive lineup at the end of games.

So yeah, I think there is reason to question it....

Are they trying to showcase Jamison? Weird he's getting so many minutes when TT is back healthy.

It was obvious Tristan was taken out early because of foul trouble. Why he wasn't put back in earlier than the last minute was the odd part. Byron Scott said after the game that Tristan's struggles at the FT line played into his thinking. But the beat reporters didn't press him on it. Byron also didn't sound as concerned about the offensive rebounds the Cavs gave up (since the Cavs got more of them). I wasn't at all surprised he took Tristan out but was surprised Tristan didn't come back in with 5-6 minutes to go, after Byron bought some time with Harangody.

Easy Tiger. Bottom line is, some of you need to make up your minds. Does this season matter or not, and do these games matter or not, specifically. I see folks whining about rotations and blowing games, and then in the next breath they're happy with ping pong balls being added to the hopper.

Me? I'll reserve criticism for Scott for that season in the not-too-distant future where the Cavs are actually a playoff team. I just think it's funny we're gonna rip the guy for playing trash over garbage, or not lobbing the 10 day contract guy out there for offensive punch. For the record, I'm all for playing our #4 pick/potential PF of the future the entire 4th Q of every game, considering this is a rebuilding year and all, but I have no problem with coach sending a message to him that he needs to be better at the line if he wants to play starter minutes someday.

Semmed like Scott coached a little different coming in a back to back..I think recognizes the deficiencies his team has ,especially on those nights.Plus it's All-Star weekend..a real meaningless game.
