Game 33 | Cavaliers @ Wizards Jan 4th, 1:00PM (ET)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think with him being so big, with him basically jump stopping wide legged and with his feet landing at different angles, its hard to determine his last two steps at times.

Where did you think he performed a jump-stop? Just before his last step and the shot?

His feet never hit the ground at the same time, that was 2-steps, albeit most of the camera angles cut off his footwork.

So many people are convinced the play was a travel, I just wish one of them would break it down. LeBron can (and has) legally picked up his dribble at the 3pt line and dunked.

In this case, he may have picked up his dribble slightly before his foot came down and that's where some of the commentators started counting 1. But if his foot did indeed hit the ground milli-seconds before he gathered, it's not like he gained any advantage from that. He didn't benefit from a 3rd stride and I just don't know how anyone could even tell something that was that close in real time.

That's a bang-bang call like a baseball umpire watching to see if a baserunner is thrown out, but a baseball ump has a trick ... he watches the runner's foot and listens for the smack of the ball in to the glove.

I bet dollars to donuts that Spooner was fooled by LeBron's stide and either thought he hoped or that both feet touched the court before his last step.
