Game #33, Cavs @ Bulls Saturday @ 7

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Oh geez not another L. At least our Cavs were relatively close.

Parker's our only legitimate 3 pt shooter on the floor...You guys are expecting him to be a superstar all of a sudden

You guys actually thought coming into this game that we would even be able to keep it this close?

I think we are expecting him to play his role more and not jack up stupid shots after stupid shots. He inherited LeBron's hero shots all of a sudden.

You see anyone else on this team that is going to go out there and make shots? You'd rather Leon Powe force the issue? How about Hickson? Maybe Ramon Sessions? Parker is as good of an option as any.

Nothing cracks me up more than these game threads where so many seem to just be figuring out that most of the players on this team aren't very good...either that or they are just being reminded again.

We are team that just gave heavy minutes to Anthony Parker, Ramon Sessions, Alonzo Gee, and Leon Powe. That group of players might struggle to win the D-League title.

/thread.

Admittedly, Powe gives a lot of effort, and I want to see him start getting more of Hollins' garbage minutes when our "best" players return. Mo and Boobie would have taken all of the late shots here, and we probably would have won if we had a full squad.

He is a competitor. No he was never as skilled as a LeBron and yes, he is past his prime. I give him a lot of props for going out and giving a shit.

why does scott even have him in there at the end. How about giving the kids a chance of winning the game. Put in Harris and Gee and see what happens. Can't be much worse than Parker bricking shot after shot.

As much as I like Manny and Gee, Gee had already bricked 3 shots in the game, and Harris wasnt playing that well either. Parker/Jamison were the best options on the floor, especially from 3.

I just don't know what to say about Parker. :( He blew so many shots.

I am not sure I consider 3-14 from the field (with a plethora of piss poor shot attempts) and matador defense in 40 minutes of action really playing like you give a shit.

Oy! Parker missed a ton of hard shots that he was forced to take, because the other players on the floor were Sessions, Powe, Hickson, and Jamison. Jamison was missing badly the whole night, as was Parker, and it was a toss up to see which of them would take it. Parker did the best he could, which wasnt much.

And if he made those you wouldn't be cheering him? Parker gives effort. I'm not saying he's great ever or even good all the time but that dude gives it his all.

Mo and Boobie had better be ready for tomorrow against Dallas, or it will be a massacre the likes of which we havent seen all season.

People mistake a poor game with effort all of the time. Parker played poorly, but it doesn't mean he didn't play with effort.

It's like the LBJ defenders of game 5 who want to say he just played poorly and that had he made those other shots we wouldn't have said anything.

No, effort is more than just whether or not a person makes shots.

Btw, that third quarter was one of the worst I've seen all season by any team. Outscored 32-9. 32-9 people. That's like a freaking JV type of score in a quarter. There aren't many teams in this league that can take an 8 point lead and turn that into a 15 point deficit in the span of 1 quarter.

Understandable, but might as well give them a shot to come through in the clutch or at least give them experience in the clutch since parker wasn't really doing much better anyway. Now if Parker was stroking it, then yeah leave him in, but going, what 0-5, 0-6 in the last several minutes is ridiculous.
