Even without the Delonte injury, this was going to be a tough game. Let me throw some pro/con knowledge your way.
CONS:
Not only is the back to back tough, but the Hornets are fully rested. That team also can have a three headed monster with Paul, Chandler, and West. I've watched enough CP3 games to see that even the best defender will struggle, so our best hope is to slow him down. No easy layups and no lobs to Chandler. Lebron steals come in the passing lanes, so I expect him to cherry pick a few from Paul. We also need to get David West out of his element, he has Z like reliability from mid-range. Of course, it's easier said than done, but if there is one team to exploit the Hornets weaknesses, its us.
PROS:
Lebron will not have two bad games in a row, he's a competitor and will be juiced for today's game. His post-Chicago comments were enough to make me believe he's ready. And that's not just Lebron, a loss for an elite team can change the momentum, I'm hoping last night was one of those. We also have home court advantage, and while I hate the idea of refs favoring the home team, I'm sure it'll help kill Hornet momentum if the favors do come. Delonte is out, but Ben Wallace is back, he can definitely help with the Hornet's bigs. We also learned from our mistakes last go round; meaning avoid sloppy ballhandling and don't let Posey camp out on the 3 point line.
Five of my friends and I will be rallying section 217 like nobody's business no matter the circumstances; and while this game does look gloomy, it's not a loss until it's played. Keep the faith Cavs fans.
