Game 40 | Cavs @ Nuggets | Fri. January 17th, 2014 | 9:00PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Great team win. Every one of our starters was a plus tonight. Four with at least 18 pts each, and Andy grabbed 16 boards

Big win! Was nice to see us build a lead and maintain it throughout the entire game. Denver fought back, as you'd expect from any team, but we held out and made shots/got stops when it mattered. This team is looking better and better every game since then addition of Deng (minus the Kings game). Great to watch!

3-2 in the Luol Deng era.

We competed and fought hard in 4 of the 5 games on this trip. Considering we had, what, two road wins coming into this road trip, you take 3-2 every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Time to really put the league on notice that the Cavaliers are on the upswing when we beat some ass at the Q.

Pretty sure we just closed this game out by going 10/10 on FTs included 4/4 by Andy and Tristan. That is focus on the road by a team that wants to win

Kyrie missed his and-one, but otherwise 10 for 10.

Great to see Kyrie make so many different types of decisions down the stretch. Move without the ball for a layup, find an open Varejao cutting, take open shots, and so on.

Cavs needed him again to pile up the offensive stats (24 pts, 6 assists) to get a win. That's basically his average in Cavs wins.

That's a big win. 3-2 on the road trip is pretty nice, especially considering we played ass defense the entire time.

Told you guys that Sacramento game was just one of those random games that happen and mean nothing. Really glad the team didn't let that game get them down.

Deng trade saved the season. Without him we probably go 0-5 on the trip.

Oh man, what does a decent SF do for us....on the road....pretty good. Wait 'til home town time. Starting to get pumped up now....it's January...and playoffs aren't far off.........................................

I found myself with the creepiest smile as I watched Deng lead that huddle on that last Denver timeout...

I love how Tristan only had 1 board at the half and still ends with with a double-double!

I liked that Brown sat Waiters and Jack down the stretch tonight. Luxury to be able to do with Deng and Miles tonight, as compared to earlier this year. You don't always see teams survive going bigger when Denver goes small, but the Cavs can play in different ways now.

Great road trip for a struggling team. Deng has been far bigger than his stats.

It's nice to see MB go with the hot hand rather than just sticking with the rotation. Dion was off, so he stuck with C.J. And yeah, we're a different team with Deng.

Awesome to hear that from him on a night where he couldn't get anything going. Just win, baby.

Good win, this is a game we use to give away when other teams would make a run at the end. When Nate had that dunk off the Lawson inbound steal we could of easily gave up and packed it in but we didn't, progress!

Hopefully we can turn this into a habit going forward. Deng is huge, few key possessions he would huddle the team together and take leadership.

That was my thought as well, we sat him the final 7 minutes, instead of sulking, he's pumped. That's fantastic to see.
