Game 42 1/19/15: Chicago @ Cleveland

Oh such a great win.
Great all around play, both D and O. Just look at that point distribution. Beautiful.

I must say, I am becoming impressed with this team’s mentality over the last 3 games. The body language seems to be more loose and yet more confident and its showing in all facets of the game.

Tonight was another good defensive effort but an amazing offensive outing. First off, to hold even an injury-ridden Bulls squad to 37% from the floor is nothing short of impressive. Another aspect I loved was just the sheer willingness to go get the ball and that showed with Cleveland out-rebounding Chicago by 14.

Onto the offensive side of things; simply beautiful and no one seemed to force anything or it not come within the rhythm of the game and that is very important. 5 guys in double figures and I want to mention the 2 new guys most. JR with 20 off the bench and going 6-9 behind the arc is evidence on a winning squad this cat can contribute in a big way. Onto the man of the hour for me, the big dude, Mosgov. 15 points and 15 boards, he even had a jump shot going. I am more intrigued with just how he defended Gasol. Obviously them without Noah is big, but Gasol had trouble doing anything against the big body of Tim. 11 and 11 but with his play recently, that is not a good stat line. Plus he was -17 for his team out there.

I hope Shumpert blends right into the seams and doesn’t take much to integrate because this squad is hitting their stride and its very optimistic right now for Cleveland.

I wonder why when Love sits out the entire 4th, it leads Sports Center but no one mentions Rose and Thibs basically benching him the entire 4th.

Because the game was or of reach and Rose needs to be rested when they can after almost two years lost to legs injuries. Plus Thibs isn't a rookie coach, he is established and firmly in control there. Totally different situations.

How is that different from Love having chronic back pain since day 1 this season and needs to be rested whenever they can?
