Game 45 -|- Pelicans @ Cavs -|- Tuesday, January 28th, 7:00PM.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Honestly some of you guys need to take february off and watch some college ball. This rebuilding process appears to be just too stressful.

Everyone wants their cake...

Let's plays a rotation of 7 guys under 23 plus Andy and Deng(who's only been with the team for a few weeks)

Then when the obvious of horrible defense occurs, lets blame the coach who's only had half a year to try to get 7 youngsters up to speed on how to actually play defense.

I'm all for playing the young guys. But there is no coach out there who(short of a transcendent defensive player like Davis, who we did not have the opportunity to draft) melds a rotation mostly made up of 22 year olds into a average defensive team, let alone stalwart in 6 months.

I'm not calling for Karasev to play yet, he's not nearly ready to play at this level. But if we run with Irving, Waiters, Deng, Bennett, and Varejao with Dellavedova, Miles, Thompson, and Zeller getting the bench minutes and do that every night this team would win more games the rest of the season than they have so far.

What's he saying?!?!?!

He basically said the team sucks him Included. He looked like he snorted a line of coke as well he was so... not together. He at one point laughed almost out of pure frustration. He got It together at the end though. Just the most bizzare I ever seen him at a post game presser.

When asked if #Cavs have tuned out the coach, Kyrie Irving said: "I leave my trust in Coach Brown. Pretty sure my teammates feel the same."

I'll be watching the Winter Olympics, fuck college basketball.

I'm trying to figure it out too.

Just lost at home to the injured Pelicans. Team is a disaster. Coach is a disaster. Most of the players played like ass. Even the ones who didn't couldn't defend a single man on the Pelicans to save their lives.

Very little to take out of this shit.

I took alot out of it.

I think the Cavs did too.

this was the lineup up brown should of been playing all year. although thompson spent more minutes at center than i would of liked.

Kyrie and Dion showed some offensive chemistry. Bennett had a game that he should build a little much needed confidence.

We are much close with the young guys starting with Bennett playing 6th/7th man.

Thompson had a bad game but he was going against anthony Davis and when he wasnt playing davis he was plkaying the 5. Thats where andy was missed and andy will be back.

If Brown goes forward with a similiar formula he actually has a team he can coach.

people start crying about scott becuase they werent seeing the team "grow" . Brown has done everything he can to win without any growth.

Brown will watch the tape of this game and he will ve forced to see he has to play the youth. now instead of trying to mask his youth he will have to coach them up flaws and all.

its time for Brown to start making the easy choices.

Dion struggling out the gate? bench him make CJ starter
Bennett struggling. ride the pine.

Instead he will need to actually start coaching guys like Dion,Zeller, Bennett and put them in position to succeed or fail with the game on the line.

I dont think Brown is ready to start Zeller and Waiters but he is a step closer to realizing and accepting thats what he needs to do.

and that makes me happy.

of course we could turn around and see an even harsher anti youth movement by brown but I dont see it going down that way.

If this is what it takes to get Bennett to play with confidence and for MB to put him in the rotation ill take it. This team will have a huge lift for this season and the future outlook if Bennett can play like this more consistently. This is the first step for him to become a future piece for this team.

Only words. Actions speak louder than words. Thing is, I would tune him out, too.

I honestly have no clue what goes through Mike Brown's head. Tyler was having maybe his best game ever and he gets benched for the last 20 minutes?

And Bennett gets extended minutes where he isn't peeking at the sideline awaiting the hook after each mistake and he actually looks serviceable. Who would have guessed?

This was another completely ridiculous and inexcusable loss. I thought after the Denver win that anything less than 4-1 on this home stand was not acceptable and these clowns would have went winless if they played anybody but Milwaukee. The only saving grace tonight was Bennett actually looking competent and doing things athletically and with the jumper that no other big we have can do.

Wait Zeller wasn't hurt and didn't foul out?! I assumed that's what happened, seeing as how he played pretty well considering, and he sat most of the second half. WTF?

How about the fact that our #1 pick actually looked like an above-average NBA player out there?

Or the fact that Dion and Kyrie both had played well in the same game?

Or even the fact that Mike Brown finally gave our young core extended minutes? (Kyrie, Dion, TT, and Bennett all topped 30 minutes)

Many positives to be pulled from a game like this. We lost but good things came out of it.

Is your last name Grant or Gilbert? GTFO. You're embarrassing.

We lost to an ass team, at home, in a must win game.

You talk about our young "core" without acknowledging that they very well might not be a core at all.

Whatever. People are happy because Bennett hit a jumper so yay, be happy.

I however, see that we just lost by double-digits to a really bad team at home and Mike Brown still has a five year contract.
A must win game? I don't agree. This team is far from ready for a playoff push. Too many people expect to slide into the playoffs in hope of some miracle. Bottom line is this team is playing like shit. They have good basketball players that have no idea of how to play together. Does Mike Brown know what he's doing? Who the fuck knows but he sure as hell isn't making an impact on these players. If anything Brown should take from this game, is getting Bennett minutes. Who cares about losing, he needs time on the court with starters.
I don't think firing Brown, as much as most of us don't agree to his hiring, will get us anywhere quickly. There is really is nowhere to go but up, so let's slow down the bitching about how much garbage this team is.

Sorry I'm not some pessimistic fan with blinders on to anything positive.

Good things happened during this game. Progress was made.

If you can't see anything positive from that game then you're most likely just a casual fan who determines success by the amount of "W's" and "L's".
