Game 48: Oklahoma City Thunder @ Cleveland Cavaliers - 7:30pm PM ET

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Not to mention Kyrie is one of the most efficient scorers in the league when he has to beat people off the dribble, let alone when he gets open looks.

Yeah. His game is really more that of a two. He's just point guard size. I'd be totally okay with giving Dion the reigns at point. It's not as if he has any issue passing it to Kyrie when he brings the ball up.

Can you blame them? We suck. They're one of the best teams in the league. When LeBron was here we lost games against shitty teams too because we played down.

That actually isn't true. The 2009 Cavs had no trouble beating teams that were worse than them, and actually beat them pretty handedly. We struggled against teams like Orlando and the Lakers, not shitty teams.

Most of the time, but we definitely took some nights off.

As long as there aren't too many duds like the previous two games, it's good to see the Cavs are watchable every night again.

Not at all.

6 assists from him(and from Livingston) are key in the game were Kyrie needs to(or is just going to) take the scoring lead. Also 2 steals. Good penetration and a few good finishes against the best shot blocking team in the league.

When he can drive like that, you have a situation like the final play of the 3rd quarter. Dion got the ball north of the 3 point line in what looked like a typical end of quarter/shot clock iso hero bal play. At the last second he begins to drive and when his guy closes off on him and the nearest wing defender to Kyrie joins to stop the drive, Dion cooly flicks it to Kyrie for a wide open 3 ball to close the quarter and narrow the gap. That is how those two can play effectively off each other. Whether he starts or comes off the bench, we need one Dion to be on the floor for every minute that Kyrie is on the bench. When that happens, Dion should go on full attack mode, finishing and dishing off like he has shown many times this season.

Dion needs to continue to do what he does well this year and in the offseason, put in massive hours rebuilding his feet/mechanics on his jump shot. Guys only a rookie.
So Dion shot the ball like shit, but I can't in good conscience call that a bad Dion game.

This team is no joke. Can't wait to see what we look like when we get one or two more serious pieces. Hopefully Speights and the other new guys can hang around. In the short term, I'd like to see Miles/Ellington/Livingston in place of Gee.

I'll take anything in place of Gee.

These are the kind of wins that a young team needs. Go CAVS!

I only see 3 losses to non-playoff teams that year.

The Thunder have about that many, a few of which are questionable (for example, Boston when they were healthy and the Lakers who may make it). Their only really bad losses are to us and the Wizards, which could easily be considered playing down.

Add Andy and Shabazz Muhammed to this team next year, and they should be playoff-worthy. I would expect Waiters and TT to be better shooters, Zeller to be bulked up, and the whole team much more committed to playing good defense. And, of course, Kyrie the starting All-Star PG, and in a league as a scorer that only Durant and Lebron reside in.

In Vegas for the wk and a hotel had a betters special. If you bet atleast $100 on the Superbowl, you can bet an additional $100 on an Nba or Ncaa bball game and get 4-1 payout. I almost did this and pulled out to save my money for roullette. Im a dumbass.

What about their game suggested they were playing down? They just lost the game. It's not like they didn't try.

Not sure I agree with you. Gee offense may be lacking lately but he is the best one on one defender we have. He did a great job on Durant tonight.

Dethroned the Clippers game for best game of the season.
