Game 5: Cleveland Cavaliers (1-3) @ Denver Nuggets (1-3) | November 7th, 2014 | 10:30 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I have an idea, we should run the LeBron-Love pick and roll/pop on every single play. Unstoppable.

2-3 Ok..... should be more like 3-2 or 4-1 but ok...

We'll be fine - what has it been 4 of our 5 first games on the road? That's ridiculous.

We have a nice long home stretch here coming up, should go on a winning streak.

take aways from the game:

1. great ball movement in the first quarter

2. tons of open 3pt shots for love, lbj, kyrie, miller; need to convert them at a high clip

3. kyrie brings the ball up but lbj sets the play. great way to stop kyrie-iso and it promotes ball and body movement

4. kyrie needs to learn when to pass and when to shoot

5. dion waiters is the x factor, he'll be a great as a 6th man

So what do we have like one more West Coast trip?

We put the ball in James's hands and the offense hums. Imagine that. Irving looks for teammates and stops the hero ball and picks his spots and the offense hums. We get the ball to Love in the post and the offense works. Spam that James/Love pick and roll as a go to move. Small ball with alive at the 5 produced some points with James getting some easy, easy baskets even if he was moving at half of his normal speed to the basket. When we can get a good balance of that first quarter ball energy and spam tried and true James pick and roll, it will be very difficult to stop this offense.

Imagine that. Take the ball out of Kyrie's hands and look how everyone looks. Moving the ball was problem #1 offensively. Learning where everyone is going to be is the next step.

We badly need a rim protector. Or just a bad dude who hurts all the guards getting into the teeth of the defense.

I hope Griff calls up the Nuggets' GM about Mozgov just to check

Despite a few bonehead plays (and inability to contain LeBron on an island like Mozgov), Nurkic looked pretty promising as a prospect. Whoever wrote his scouting report pre-draft was spot on.

This game looks a lot better for the Cavs minus the refs in the 2nd half and Foye's garbage time heroism.

Dion looked good off the bench. Cavs actually ran some sets and moved the ball, such great balance.

I'd just like to see a bit more efficiency with all the good looks that they're getting.

Defense still needs work. Kyrie and Dion ball watch a lot and sometimes Kyrie has no idea where the ball is, lol.

I wanna see more of Joe Harris though.
