Game 51 -|- Cavaliers vs. Clippers -|- February 5th, 2015 @ 8:00 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Like @gopre said, you're part of the problem.

No, you're part of the problem because you want a double standard for this person. You want her to be treated just like a man until it's an inconvenience at which point she's a damsel in distress. I want her to be treated just like a man, period. And that means taking the same heat male referees have been taking for years.

Sorry, double post.

Chris Paul would get fined either way, by criticizing any ref personally and saying that the NBA "might not be for her" or "might not be for him."

As mentioned, all refs deserve taking the same heat. Barkley said it well in the TNT broadcast when he said that he remembered when Violet Palmer came in to the league and that she was just as terrible as all of the rest of the refs. :chuckle:

But no ref deserves to be singled out by the president of the players association and told that the game "might not be for you". Especially when the other two refs in the same game made technical calls, including the one that led to the only ejection.

Most importantly, the Clippers are a bunch of petty whiners who bitch every game. Doc Rivers at least had the humor to say that he wished he had gotten a 2nd technical called on him so he didn't have to see his team play like that. LOL.

Just have to say that I loved listening to Barkley lasts night. Sure, it's not always basketball, but the guy is flat out funny, and the banter made the 4th quarter listenable -- if not watchable -- for me. His timing on the J-Lo comments was just awesome.

this is the team I thought we would be in Nov/Dec. Well, better late than never.

1. I think Chris Paul's mouth flopped during those post game comments

2. That ref can get flagrant with me.

3. REST!!!!!

Can't believe you fellas aren't more amped about that game [first three quarters] last night.

When Cleveland sports teams take the field/court, I am so used to watching a $h!t-show. What we saw last night [for the first three quarters] was beautiful - beautiful ball movement, smothering defense. The Cavs basically ran the Clips out of the gym. Did you fellas see how JR and Mozzy were playing? That are playing with such intensity. Smith had 5 steals, was 4-8 on 3s - he's like a player reborn! it was a joy to watch! I worry about you fellas - if you can't get excited about stuff like this, you might want to check your pulse, because you could be dead...

I don't know that I could handle his commentary every night, but he was a blast last night.

This team is so stacked that we would drool for any of this player on this starting lineup on lebrons first stint. Jr has been more than superb since he joined the cavs, his intensity and his focus has been of the charts, basically is like a big fuck you to the knicks lmao. Imo this trades have been trade rapes and not even close. Kudos to blatt for adjusting and to the whole team.

Are you serious? What subtle sexism is there? The fact he said she and her when addressing a female?

Come on get real.
Looks like I wasn't the only one who saw it...

Yes I completely agree. Barkley may not always be right, but it was damn funny listening to his banter last night.

The I hate my mom sometimes thing was very funny.

I lost my shit when he talked about Deandre not thinking he fouled Moz

"He doesn't think that's a foul!? that's not a foul?? I got to spend the night in jail the last time i hit a guy like that!"

Oh Chuck :chuckle:

Doc Rivers isn't an overrated coach. He's a top 5 coach in the game right now, easily.

Yes he is the only time he took a team deep in the playoffs is when he was handed 3 hall of famers and coach Thibs running the show on defense. Let's look at the clippers they won 53 games with VDN who we say is a bad coach. Since than they have added Reddick but have won only 1 more game than VDN team.
