Game 55 | Cavs (33-21) @ Bulls (33-20) | February 12th, 2015 | 8:00pm EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think the afro-american emotional expert from First Take (I don't know his name) is right - not this year, but the next one Cleveland has the biggest chance to get the title - when Varejao will be healthy - with Mozgov they will break anyone to death, if he dies - he dies.

Missed the game today. Wasn't surprised they lost. I don't think many were to be honest, for a number of reasons.

RealGM Boards full of crowing Bulls fans. The joke is on them. Judging by the posts in this thread it is obvious this game was phoned in. 14-3 since LeBron returned from injury. Offense and defense clicking. New faces playing well. Love will get a nice rest.

Am I scared of the Bulls? Laughable. Fuck them. If they ever push a LeBron team to six games in the playoffs I'd be surprised. And woe to the rest of the NBA. Come the end of the All-Star break the Cavs are going to wreck their asses.

This game had the outcome written on the wall within the first 5 minutes. I knew the Cavaliers were going to look past this game to the break and it showed. I would have loved the hustle and effort to get the tie breaker and 3rd seed into the break but it is what it is. If anything, this game gives false hope for the Bulls. I am sorry, I am an NBA fan but Rose is Hardaway part 2. This cat will always be a shell of his former self and even his former self couldn't sniff a win against James when it mattered. Sure, that team plays hard and will always be an hard out but I just don't see them being an the East representative in the finals, even if James wasn't in the conference.

I am still bummed the Cavaliers lost, I mean I do hate the Chicago Bulls with a passion. When a squad has double the turn overs and the only thing they did consistently throughout the game was fouling, it isn't going to result in a favorable outcome.

I still like this squad at this point, I think when Love finds himself more this will be downright scary. Everyone in the East fears Cleveland, no doubt. They can say otherwise but that's the reality.

Even if Cleveland doesn't have home court in the post season, they can win 1 game on the road every series.

Someone give me examples, outside of sheer bias opinions, why we're clearly much superior than a team with a better record than us.

Umm we are 2-1 against them on the season. That's why. Pau Gasol was hitting everything and Derrick Rose was playing like his MVP season. It was just one of those nights.

What i'm truly concerned about is LeBron's turnovers.

While it would of been nice to beat Chicago and take first place in the division this game was more important for Chicago.

This was a statement game from Chicago. I am expect the Cas to respond well to this loss

this game was more important for Chicago.

I never understand this line of thinking. How is winning a game not equally important to both teams who aren't even in the top2 seeds? I get that this justification makes it easier to accept this loss for most fans, implying that Bulls were somehow desperate to win the game and the Cavs could take it or leave it, but that just doesn't make sense to me.

I get annoyed after any loss, but this one didn't get to me too much.
Seems Cavs were in all-star rest mode.

The guys minds where already at ASB it seems. Wich i can understand... 8 Days rest and fun upcoming could prove way more important then one loss.

Also its ok.. we still are 2-1 over the Bulls. Im not worried about them.

They play good.. but they dont play as hard and tough as they used to.
And that was their identity.. they would rough you up like crazy. Without that they are just another very good but beatable Team.

He was probably referring to the fact that we are 2-1 against Chicago this season. If we win last night's game, then we have the tiebreaker against Chicago should our records be similar for seeding. Chicago needed to win this game to even have that chance. It would've been nice to win but it wasn't imperative.

The April game is now more imperative though.. but who knows what will happen to W-L's between now and then.

The Bulls fans at Real GM in general over react to everything.
Go read a game thread where the Bulls got their asses handed to them.
OMG we suck we are doomed.
They beat the Cavs one time this season OMG we are going to win it all.

Every team in the NBA takes multiple double digit losses during the year.
Does it suck to lose when you could have slid back into 1st place in the division? Sure.

Does it mean the season is ofver and the bulls are unstoppable? Not even close.

Chicago was 8-8 in their last 16. In that stretch they lost to the Hawks Cavs, The heat and the Wizards and stood to Drop 2 seeds and their division lead going into the All Star Break
The Cavs Meanwhile were 14-2 and had gained considerably on The Wizards, Bulls, and Toronto.
Cavs have put themselves in a position to compete for a 2nd seed after dippong to .500 where the Bulls were losing ground
Despite the loss the Cavs finish the first half strong. That wouldnt hold true for the Bulls if they had loss.
It more important how the Cavs respond to this loss than the actual loss itself.
