Kyrie did have a guy 6-9, 260, and moves as well as he does on him at the end of the game. Just saying. Rough night for him though.
It's nice having another guy in Waiters that can still attack, and break the defense down too. Unless the team has 5 LB's on the floor, we're not necessarily screwed.
Byron needs to go to Dion in these late game situations when Kyrie has been struggling all game, this was the second time he went to Kyrie over Dion when Dion was hot and Kyrie was playing poorly. Plus it would be a huge confidence boost for DW (not that he needs one).
Did someone really say they might skip the bulls game because of tonight's game? We came back from 20 down to take an 8 point lead against the best team in the league on their court on the 2nd night of a back to back. We had our chance to win, Kyrie tried to win it while being defended by the best win defender in the league and failed. It's okay to fail sometimes. Nobody comes through every time in those situations. Kyrie has proven many times in his short career that he learns from his failures. I haven't heard the post game quotes, but it wouldn't surprise me at all to hear him take the blame for the loss and to be determined to do better next time. The last time that happened we bounced back from a loss to the Pistons to beat the Thunder. Kyrie had 13 points in the last 3 minutes of that one.
I like our chances against the Bulls and I like our chances March 20th when we face the heat again. This team has made huge strides this year, tonight was another step in that process.
