Game 56 | Cavs @ Raptors | February 21, 2014 7:00 PM ET

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Varejao getting cortizone shots in his back, about to miss his 5th with an extended break in the middle.

He's not fine.

According to Griffin he got a shot but it wasn't a cortisone shot.

Karasev will have no choice but to play unless they want to grind Kyrie and Jack into the ground for 40 minutes apiece.

No doubt, a lineup of Delly, Karasev, Gee, Bennett, Hawes could be potentially very awful, lol. But interesting.

This game is a true test of how well Mike Brown can plan is rotations. At no point in this game should we not see at-least 1 starter on the floor. He is going to have to go to he bench early, so that he can rotate the bench players in with the starters. This will either be a train wreck, or MB will prove himself.

CAN WE MAKE IT 7!!?!?!?!

Going to be tough. We're basically relying on Jack/Karasev to slow down Derozan.

Raptors are playing some good basketball.

I think it will be close but I'm not super confident.

I would be surprised if Gee doesn't get a lot more minutes than Karasev (guarding Derozan and others) and if Deng isn't asked to play 40+.

Guess the streak ends here.

This is going to be a really tough game to win. Kyle Lowry has been playing amazing. Kyrie really needs to take it upon himself to keep Lowry contained. A lot will be expected of Deng tonight and really for the rest of the season if we can't get another SF who can play meaningful minutes besides Gee. He needs to shut down Derozan. Tyler and TT need to continue their domination of the boards. A lot of things need to go right tonight.

I will be really impressed if we can win this one.

Raptors are 3rd in the East. This will be a good test to see where we really are and what we can do. Sucks we are missing some key players, but we have enough.

If they lose, they lose, but I want to see them win when they host the Raptors in a few days. They should have Dion back and Miles.

Is there any doubt he plays? I mean, he almost has to by necessity.

We only have 10 players right now.

14 man roster

4 injuries(Felix, Miles, Waiters, Andy)

I'm positive we will see him tomorrow.

Yeah, makes sense. Also good to have Hawes playing.

Really Dion back...

Yikes. Computer that I use for making game threads is acting funny.

Should still have something up before the game regardless.

Going to take a miracle to win this one tonight with our injuries. Hopefully the white unicorn Hawes will bring some mojo and have everyone excited. More than likely the rotations and second unit will look like a complete mess and we lose by 20. :drink:

Most importantly, and something we are overlooking, is the fact that Mike Brown has a 0% chance of playing Earl Clark tonight.

Just so we're clear, Zeller is going to be the one starting, correct? I don't see why he wouldn't, and ESPN depth charts are usually wrong, but I just wanted to be sure.

With Hawes playing, Jonas V, Karasev potentially playing, Jonas V, people freaking out about Zellers and Bennetts minutes, Jonas V, the potential to win a league best 7th straight game and Jonas V, I'm thinking this Game Thread has the potential to be the first 1,000 post game thread of the season!

It is kind of crazy to think that earlier in the season they traded a max contract guy and the team drastically improved afterwards. Masai Ujiri is doing work over there.
