Game 57 | Washington @ Cleveland | Sunday February 23, 2014 6:00 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Like I said, today was a must win game if playoffs were any realistic possibility.

Jack and Mike Brown make me physically ill..don't think I can watch much more this season.

Not going to win with Kyrie putting up a Larry Hughes stat line. 6 for 17 with 2 FTAs isn't cutting it. Not when we are undermanned and you know you have to pick it up.

Somebody really needs to let Mike Brown know that Tristan is not a 35 minute a night guy. He just throws a wet blanket on everything offensively.

Isn't anybody in this organization wondering why everybody comes here from other teams and looks worse? First Jack and Clark. Now Deng. Can it be that we don't run any offense besides the most simplistic, rec league garbage? Do these guys stay up at night thinking of more ways to get non shooters looks from 18 feet out?

Just a miserable, prototypical Mike Brown game. The Wiz come in on a 2nd night of a back to back, play a mediocre game and beat us handily. Injuries or no injuries, this was some bull shit tonight.

This is really concerning. Jack was pushing for the 6th man of the year last year and Earl Clark had a couple of games that he looked fantastic in a Laker uniform. Deng was playing out of his mind before coming here. Kyrie's offense (his major strength) regressed. The only common denominator in all of these is MB. I can't think of anything else.

Now THESE are the Cavs I grew to know and love!

Losing games at home to bad teams!

Brown was pretty out in the open about how simple the offense is during his interview after the Hawes signing. Referring to Spencer's fit in the Toronto game having not practiced, "if he's open, shoot it; if he's not, pass it. Our offense is, uh, not complex at all (laughs)." Verbatim.

I have no idea what to think about that statement...either:

1. He doesn't remotely care about offense
2. He doesn't feel the players are ready for more advanced offensive schemes, and/or
3. He's planning to add more advanced offensive schemes down the line.

Definitely concerning either way.

The offense looks like it's a 5th grade AAU team... Someone with just a tad of offensive ability needs to coach this team.

or the players need to show they can execute an offense which they have done since Kyrie arrived. ultimately this is a young team so they are going to have good play streaks and bad. they need to execute. Thompson is not a ball handler and cannot be having 4 turnovers. people still arent running their routes and falling in to support guys when they get trapped. both the offense and the defense have been streaky. usualkly you get one without the other.

I'm sick of seeing Jack,
(A) Shooting a long contested jumper (often out of an open three pointer) or a floater
(B) Holding the ball for a long time
and
(C) Making a silly pass leading to a fast break for the other team.

He wasn't the reason we lost , but I'm just sick of seeing it! Hope when Miles and Waiters comes back, one of them starts. Really missing Waiters out there...
I hope our hot streak for the season hasn't fizzled out... the road only gets tougher from here.

Want to know why the players who come here from other teams play worse?

Because we have established a losing culture.

Kyrie Irving doesn't help either. I mean it's just a fact that it's not real easy for someone to play with a point guard who loves dribbling the air out of the ball every time down. Just isn't. Luol Deng was used to playing in a offense that kept the ball moving and even the best player, Rose, wasn't out there just going 1on1 pounding the rock for 15 seconds. Kyrie is simply going to have to improve in that area of his game, or its always gonna be difficult to find guys to play next to him.

Hopefully after this season, the Cavs realize that Sticky Fingaz is well on the road to diminishing returns and they just use Waiters and/or Delly in that role going forward. You can find another backup guard who won't... do what Jack does
