Game 6 | Cavaliers vs Bulls | November 5, 2009 | 8:00 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Of course the twin towers combo is not working... You have arguably two of the worst pick and roll defenders of all time on the floor at the same time...Common sense must prevail..

Vinny and his hair simply couldn't get enough of those matchups...

Defensively you can get away with the pick and roll stuff when using one of these guys. But, you're just begging for a disaster when you continuously do it using both of these guys...

Any team that has a big with a respectable mid range jumper will beat us. With Shaq and/or Z out there, teams are killing us with the pick & pop game. Shaq and Z are too slow to recover after the pick which forces our team to scramble and help them recover, leaving our guys out of position and opposing players getting easy looks at the rim. Boston and Toronto exploited it and when Brad Miller was in the game, Chicago exploited it. It's frustrating as hell to watch.

mike brown is an idiot and he hasnt learned his lesson from last post season. why was lebron guarding rose and delonte guarding deng? its the same thing that happened with orlando. lebron for some reason was guarding alston and west was guarding hedo.... guess what happened? delonte couldnt guard a sf that is 6 inches taller than he is and the cavs lost. what happened last night? west couldnt guard a small forward and the cavs lost....

deng kept scoring with west guarding him. thats what cost the cavs the game. shaq and z arent the issue. they have problems with pick and rolls but it was the fact that lebron wasnt guarding deng that cost the cavs the game.

mo taking that last shot was also a big blow because it didnt even hit the rim, it bounced off the side of the back board. there were 28 seconds in the game he couldve gotten a better shot than that. maybe he just isnt that good under pressure. he also clanked a wide open 3 with 1 minute left in the game... i dont know why mo and west keep missing all of these wide open threes. it happened against the magic.

The problem is LBJ. The guy hasn't shown anything new in his game.
When the lanes are shutdown, he has no mid-range jumper like Kobe or Wade
to fall back on or a post game like Jordan had.

If the Cavs are serious about becoming a complete team for the playoffs. Force LBJ into situations to make him a stronger and better player. Get him away from his comfort zones of dribbling up top.

Force the guy in the post, c'mon tonight he Deng on him. He could have got to FT or some buckets from the post. Teams want to block the lane and force him to jack stupid 3's.

Also the guy has to develop that Pierce, Wade, and Kobe mid-range game that they all are money on. The guy can get any mid-range jumper he wants but he refuses to develop it during games.

Both of those things are holding the team back and him back from the being the best player ever to play the game.

When it comes down big buckets in the final minutes. Good teams will clog the lane and force him either to post or take that high percentage elbow jumper. Pierce, Kobe, and Wade kill teams with that jumper. Which then sets up a drive eventually.

The Twin Tower lineup is playing because JJ Hickson blows. Powe can't healthy soon enough.

Everybody knows if they upset Lebron they will be shipped out of here quick, so I don't think anyone is going to criticize a decision he makes out there on the floor anytime soon. I think that's just the reality for better or worse.

However Lebron is the least of our problems. He isn't playing up to his normal standards and he is still putting up 25/8/8 on nearly 49% shooting taking only 17 shots a game....

We know teams wont double team , or defend Z much anymore. What if he starts making those jump shots?

Andy and Boobie definitely should have played more. And not just because they are on my fantasy team...

another ugly game last night..... Cavs played it just a bit more ugly than the bulls. Terrible shooting, Ugly defense, Sloppy play. I guess the only thing we may be able to hang our hats on is the cavs played so poorly and still lost by one point and had a chance to win the game in the end. Gotta get this straightened out but i was one of the few that figured this would take 20 games or so too really get gelling.

As far as I'm concerned, after tonight the whole "Extended Preseason" excuse is over and done with after tonight. This will make 7 games, and the entire team has been healthy and playing for all 7. That is the approximate length of the preseason.

Couple that with 5 straight days off, we better come out firing next week. Sucks that our first major litmus test will be against the Magic. They will be very very tough.

Ultimately, after our first two stinkers, we won 3, lost 1. If we can keep up that pace, that's the recipe for a 61 win season.

I don't know if I believe it yet. I'll have a stronger opinion by next weekend.

And ultimately, Windhorst and a lot of the beat writers warned all of us that we would see significantly fewer wins than we did last year while this team figured things out. At least 6 or 7 more losses. Well, we've already handed away one extra loss off our pace from last year. We can't give away too many more if we hope to hit in the 57 - 60 win range.

Couldn't access RCF after the game last night. Will say it was an ugly effort for the most part and a game the Cavs deserved to lose.

Agree with most that the Shaq/Z combo needs to be used as little as possible and only in certain matchups. It's asinine that Brown continues to throw in out there every game no matter who the opponent is.
Don't know where Moon has been. The Bulls represent a great matchup for him and he should have been out there.

Also, the last play was not a foul and the ball was off LeBon. It was the right call and in no way the reason for the loss.

I couoldn't figure it out, but why does Mike Brown not have Mo running the 2nd unit anymore? Is it because he trusts Delonte to run an offense more than Mo right, becuase I thought Mo was at his best when operating that unit.

You guys can blame the coaches, refs, w/e all you want.

The reason we lost is simple.

The players played with no enery. The bench shot like shit. Mo williams shot like shit. Mo williams took the worst shots in the worst times. Shaq had turnover after turnover, mostly from lazy passes.

Yes, MB is slightly to blame with his horrible rotations but there is NO excuse for lack of energy.

When you get paid 1M+ a year to play a sport, you better put some energy in every single game.

It doesn't matter how much talent we have, if they play lazily, we will not win.

I am worried for Z. He has become almost useless coming off the bench. You would think the more rest, the better he would play. But, he never finds his rhythm in his shot, and as he is a shooting center, makes him useless.
