Game 63 | Cavs (38-24) @ Raptors (38-22) | March 4, 2015 | 7:30pm EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It doesn't matter. He is a threat. He had zero boards because the D opted to stay close and box out, and then JR and JJ nailed the 3s.
That's the whole point.
Meh, they ignored him then boxed out once the shot was up. JR and JJ got open because they moved and the D collapsed on LeBron, had nothing to do with TT's "presence". There are times TT is effective, this wasn't one of them.

I love Blatt, but he lucked out with LeBron hitting a couple of stupid 3s. His crappy lineup could have easily cost us this game.

Raptors came back with some shady calls and a bunch of crazy trick shots.
Our D was strong for 90% of the game and we stayed composed on offense. When the bullshit shots stopped falling it went back to normal.

The small ball lineup did very well in the end and LeBron was great in that he didn't lock in on himself saving the day but played the way this lineup was meant to play, and made everybody else better.

Mozzy is nice, but not as nice as Drummond or Jonas.

Sure wish we had one of those guys.

I really hope we can continue to discuss this 7-8-9 years removed from the 2011 and 2012 drafts.

a win is a win. there's no such thing as a easy win in the NBA.

Rocket's twitter complaining that the refs cost them their game vs Memphis tonight.

Somehow, I give zero fucks for them.

I've been reading some of their game threads and every loss/bad play is the refs fault. Never seen a fanbase complain about officiating so much... not even Laker fans.

I disagree with you.
You seem to think that only one thing is exclusive to success. Either it's because they moved or because TT is a presence.
It's a combination of a lot of factors. And I believe TT being in there and threatning the offensive boards made defenders think twice before helping off him to cover a shooter. They didn't, and shooters were left open.
Plays and lineups are designed for several things to work simultaniously and for multiple options to exist.

The lienup played well on both sides, getting rained on by more than a couple of lucky 3s by the Raptors. They kept the lead and won the game.
There were a million other ways to win that game obviously, but this one worked and when something works you don't fuck with it, just so you can follow some unwritten rule that the starters must play the most minutes or finish the game or other shit like that.
Blatt played what he felt was right, I can understand the reasoning although maybe I would've did some things differently, and it won us the game. That's all that matters. His lineup and tactics worked. "Almost" doesn't count when the outcome is binary.

Minor thing, but why was LeBron on the receiving side of that last inbound pass? He knows he isn't strong at the FT line, he should have been passing to kyrie or JJ. He looked like he was going to throw it in, then switched out with JJ. In the end it doesn't matter, but that pride might hurt us again soon.

I don't think its pride, I think its Lebron actively trying to work through his FT woes. He's doing all the technical FTs too. I think he just wants real game reps to get through his FT funk.

If we could ban anyone who brings up JV or Drummond draft references on this board, I'd be all for it.

It's foolish to suggest that not having Lowry on their team has the same effect as not having Andy. Kyle's a much more important player to the Raptors, particularly on the offensive side. If you don't get that, you haven't watched much basketball.

Agreed. If he were playing, he would have taken it upon himself to bring the Raps back from that big deficit. Wouldn't have been such a dogfight toward the end...

In all seriousness, Lowry has been really good for Toronto this year. However, he has a tendency to chuck.

Yeah, I'm okay with it if that's the case... I'm still traumatized from the Houston game so maybe I'm still overly critical.
