Game 64 3/6/15: Cleveland at Atlanta

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Blatts rotations are horrible. Delly should not see the court. LeBron was horrible. Kyrie never runs the offense.

Atlanta showed something this game, and really why they are where they are. I was impressed really, the are getting a ton out of guys I've never heard off - Mike Scott, Demare Carroll, Kent Bazemore. Their defense was impressive, basically it's what Byron Scott wanted us to do for his time here but the guys never bought in. They had huge success blitzing the pick and roll and it was a struggle to get the ball side to side or into the paint, the rotations were damn near perfect in the first half.

Despite that, we came back with a strong third, but had to ride the starters a little too long to do it. I think lebron needs more rest in the first half no matter what so that he's available in the second. He should probably never play the entire third quarter just in case you need him in the fourth. It all went to shit once the 4th quarter started. We also missed about 8 wide open threes, it happens but we couldn't afford it against these guys.

The team is a tough counter, milsap and Horford play both ways and can both stretch the D, Mozgov has trouble against 5's that are mobile and can shoot. Horford is just good. They get excellent point guard play between Teague and Schroder, Delly just doesn't match up well here and I would have liked to see more of Shump out there.

I definitely want the 2 or 3 seed to avoid these guys until the ECF, but this would be a great series to watch

That was the worst Lebron performance the Hawks will see this year. In the playoff Cavs would pull the rug underneath them.not concerned at all

'09 Cavs had a great regular season and tore through the playoffs, until they ran into a 'roided-up Rashard Lewis, an out-of-his-head Turkoglu, and a D12, who was free to set moving picks. Their guys got hot, and Mo and Delonte were decided to play a bizarro world game of horse, where the goal was to match the other guy, brick for brick.

With a little luck - or a little less BAD luck, the Cavs take that series, and challenge the Lakers, too.

Nah. Mike Brown blew that series.

There was no reason to put Ben Wallace on Rashard Lewis in game 4. Sure we went to Over time and lost anyway. But allowing for that to happen is what lost us the lead. I still feel if we win that game we would have won a game 7 at home.

That series still pisses me off. Missed out on a LeBron vs. Kobe finals as well.

I just hate when lebron quits during plays/games.

Jason Lloyd pretty much nailed it. I'm not worried at all.
31. I understand how stupid this is going to sound, but I’m even less convinced after tonight that the Hawks can beat the Cavs four times in a playoff series. The Cavs were awful early in the game, looking lethargic and disinterested in falling behind 36-19 after the first quarter. They didn’t adjust well to the Hawks’ blitzing defensive schemes and they were playing their fourth game in six nights while the Hawks were home resting the last two days. And yet the Cavs still had the lead (albeit briefly) in the third quarter.

This was my last thread of the season...hope you guys enjoyed it even though the Cavs lost. I guess going 3-1 on threads I made of games won isn't bad! Thanks for those that gave positive rep!

Why do people still use FG%? Look at his TS percentage each of those games. He's been efficient.
Only because of free throws. Put this in perspective..he's taken over 32 fga attempts in the last 4 games each and that doesnt even count the shot attempts that end up as free throw attempts. So just imagine a POINT GAURD taking 40+ shots a game while failing to even be "hot" in any of them. He has failed to even hit 50 points with 40 attempts. The only impressive stats he has been accumulating are his rebounds.
