Here is your NumbersDon't preview:

Game Preview – Saturday March 6, 2010 – Cleveland Cavaliers @ Milwaukee Bucks

The Cavaliers had a scare, but were able to make it 6 wins in a row last night, as they have held their opponents to 96.3 points per game over the streak. Their last 3 opponents, meanwhile, have been held to just 92.3 points per contest on 43.7% shooting from the field, while coughing the ball up 15 times per game. It is the Cavaliers’ 3rd 6 game winning streak of the season & their 7th over the past 2 seasons.

That scare came at the hands of the Detroit Pistons, who led the Clevelanders by as many as 21 points in the 2nd quarter. The Cavaliers were able to reverse their 3rd quarter curse, however, and trailed by just 2 entering the final frame, where they took control of the game. LeBron James led the way with 40 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks, & 3 triple hits. It is his 8th 40 point game of the season, the 41st of his career, and the 13th time he’s done it with 10+ rebounds. LeBron also set the Cavaliers’ franchise record for minutes played, surpassing Big Z’s mark that he set earlier this season. Antawn Jamison gave the Cavs a lift to start the 4th quarter, giving them their 1st lead of the night, & finishing with 17 points & 3 steals on 7-13 shooting. Delonte West & Andy Varejao came off the bench & combined for 28 points on 12-17 shooting, with Andy adding 10 rebounds (his 9th double double of the season), and Delonte chipping in with 4 boards & 7 assists.

Milwaukee is coming off a 102-74 crushing of the Wizards in Washington. Carlos Delfino & Andrew Bogut led a well balanced attack against the Wiz, each going for 19 points on 8-14 shooting, with Bogut adding 10 rebounds & 5 blocks, and Delfino pulling down 6 rebounds & throwing in 3 from downtown. John Salmons had his 2nd lowest scoring game as a Buck, with 17, to go along with his 5 boards & 5 assists, while Luke Ridnour hit 5 of his 7 shot attempts for 13 points off the bench in the Bucks rout.

View it in its entirety here.

Milwaukee Bucks dancers: (1 for each point LeBron scored in less than 3 minutes :chuckles:)

I didn't want to put this up in the original post, but remember to check in on the other posts on NumbersDon't & tell others as well.. and feel free to leave as many comments as you like!

Cam just posted up the roundtable chat we conducted today which included myself, Cam, John Krolik from Cavs: The Blog & Jacob Rosen from Waiting for Next Year. Check it out, some good tidbits in there, for sure!

Also, Chief looks at the Detroit Pistons from an outsider's perspective. Also a terrific read!

And as always, feel free to make any suggestions, complaints, compliments or just chat about the blog in the NumbersDon't thread.

Gonna be a goooooood game. LeBron always dominates against Milwaukee.

I am hoping we don't come out lackadaisical this game because the Bucks are better than the Pistons.

The Sucks are hot, but so are the Cavs. I give the Cavs the edge in this one, given LeBron's recent dominance of their franchise.

The Bucks are in the thick of things and have lots of incentive to win. I'm not confident about this game, especially with LeBron's ankle.

This has trap written all over it. Hopefully we can muscle through it.

bogut is finally starting to put it all together and will be a real handful. It will be intetersting to see how jennings responds to skiles tounglashing, the cavs find quick pg's hard to guard.

cavs need jamison, mo and one bench guy to step up (i vote for hot wad)

We need Mo and AJ to have a big night just in case LBJ's ankle stiffens up on him.

I dont see us winning this one. Both teams are on back to backs, but Milwaukee is home. The are playing extremely well since the trade. They are definetly a team I dont want to see in the first round. I almost rather play the Hawks than them in the 2nd round. The world wont end if we loose this one by any means, but if we win, its a great sign.

I see Mo bouncing back for a huge game.
He'll get plenty of open looks vs Jennings and Co.

The match-ups to watch are Bogut vs AV/Hickson.
Shaq in the past shut down Bogut and got him in foul trouble early to take him out of the game.

And Luke Ridnour/Stackhouse vs West/Moon/Jawad/Parker.
West needs to come in and defensively stop Luke from getting hot.
Same goes for the defense on Stackhouse. If you stop their bench from scoring the Cavs will win this game.
If West plays an offensive game on Luke like he did last night on Bynum, Cavs will be in good shape.

I do think the Bucks have a very good chance of winning this game, but in the playoffs they aren't a threat. Jennings and Bogut don't have much playoff experience, and Bogut can abuse JJ but not Shaq or Z. Salmons and Stackhouse are going to be very problematic today though. I expect Mo's minutes to come down today while Moon and Jawad get more.

Not to mention, we had to battle just to get back in the game last night.. Milwaukee cruised to a win over Washington.

Extremely well is putting it mildly.. go to the ND game preview & look at what Brandon Jennings has been doing lately.. he's been absolutely terrible, and yet since the trade the Bucks have been on fire..

Salmons has really provided them with a huge scoring lift that they couldn't rely on Jennings/Bogut for every game. No doubt they are a much improved team.

However, I'd still rather face them than Atlanta in the playoffs.

Yes, we swept them last year & have beaten them each time this season, but they are a threat, for sure, while Milwaukee doesn't have nearly the playoff experience that they do.

Salmons will destroy weak sauce, Jennings drops 50 on defense-allergic Mo.

Gonna be a looooooooooong night.
