Major Contributions.

In a game that favored Phoenix's frenetic pace all the way, the Cavaliers were able to buckle down and play their style of basketball in the fourth quarter. However, just as they have with all fifty-one wins this season, the Cavs weren't able to make that push without a big time hand from a few select players. Here is a closer look at some of the accomplishments tonight:

LeBron James came into the game with the same mentality as the man who led Cleveland to an improbable win earlier this week in Los Angeles.

- After tonight, LeBron has recorded a triple-double in three straight games, the longest streak of his career. Here are his averages over the last three games:

LeBron James (3 games): 26.7 points, 12.0 assists, 11.0 assists, 2.0 blocks, and 2.0 steals on 25-62 (40.3%) shooting.

- Perhaps the most impressive stat over LeBron's last three games (aside from the amazing well-roundedness it takes to average 26-12-10-2-2) is the fact that he hasn't shot above 43.5% from the field in a single game. Furthermore, he is a combined 3-17 (17.6%) from three, after shooting 54.9% from deep in the nine games prior. It appears LeBron's suspect shooting has forced him to turn more of his attention to other aspects of the game.

- In the eight games since Ben Wallace's absence (record: 7-1), LeBron has taken it upon himself to handle some of the rebounding duties. He is averaging 9.4 rebounds per game in these eight games, grabbing double-digit rebounds for the fourth time tonight.

- Lastly, LeBron recorded three blocked shots tonight for the eighth time this season. The Cavaliers are 8-0 in such games. Also, when LeBron has had 3 or more blocked shots in a game for his career, the Cavs are 19-10.

Mo Williams entered the game hot off of his game winner against the Clippers Tuesday night. And without a doubt, it showed.

- Mo recorded his fifth 30+ point game of this season, with clutch shooting tonight. In such games, Mo is averaging 36 points per game and the Cavaliers are 5-0. Here are his numbers over the last seven games (record: 6-1):

Mo Williams (7 games): 23.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.9 assists on 55-113 (48.7%) shooting, including 27-44 (61.4%) from three.

- After tonight, Mo Williams now has a seven game streak with double-digit points and 2 or more made threes in each game.

- The Cavaliers are now 8-1 on the season in games where Mo Williams records double-digit made field goals.

- Mo Williams also did a fantastic job handling the ball tonight, recording only one turnover in the game. Cleveland is now 16-3 in games where Mo records either one or no turnovers.

Sasha Pavlovic came into the game as a man unsure of his role. Sasha, however, has looked far more confident this season as opposed to last season, and he got a chance to show it tonight.

- Sasha unexpectedly came off the bench to replace the injured Delonte West tonight, scoring 16 points. This marks only his seventh double-digit scoring game of the season, with the Cavs going 6-1 in such games. Here are his shooting stats from those games:

Sasha Pavlovic (7 games): 14.3 points on 38-62 (61.3%) shooting, including 19-33 (57.6%) from three.

- The one thing to note is Sasha's efficiency this season. After tonight he is 47.2% from the floor and 46.0% from three. If Delonte is going to miss a game, Sasha will undoubtedly fill in for him as the starting shooting guard. Here are his stats from his starts earlier this season:

Sasha Pavlovic (10 games): 10.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.1 assists on 57.3% shooting, including 57.1% from three and 71.4% from the line.

- Sasha came through big in the fourth quarter, hitting back-to-back-to-back threes, allowing the Cavaliers to pull away. This marks the fourth time that Sasha has made three or more threes in a game this season, as the Cavs are 4-0 in such games. When Sasha has made three or more treys in a game for his career the Cavaliers are 13-4.

Lifting the Curse.

In the 24 hours leading up to the game, I heard the words "TNT curse" more than I had wished to. The facts, however, were simply undeniable. Coming into tonight's game, the Cavaliers were 2-5 in games broadcasted nationally on Turner Network Television. Even worse, all five of those losses came in road games, with the only two wins coming when Cleveland hosted Denver and Washington. It was hard for even the realest Cavs fan to express confidence when the team was 0-5 on the season in road TNT games, but as always, the team came through. Here is a closer look:

Home games televised on TNT (record: 2-0):

- Cleveland Cavaliers: 101.5 points per game on 78-156 (50%) shooting.

- Opponent: 94.0 points per game on 73-160 (45.6%) shooting.

Away games televised on TNT prior to tonight (record: 0-5):

- Cleveland Cavaliers: 85.6 points per game on 157-389 (40.4%) shooting.

- Opponent: 97.8 points per game on 186-394 (47.2%) shooting.

- LeBron James (5 games): 23.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 5.0 assists on 43-122 (35.2%) shooting, failing to score more than 28 points in a single game.

- Mo Williams (5 games): 17.4 points and 3.0 turnovers on 31-75 (41.3%) shooting, including 14-31 (45.2%) from three.

- 4th Quarter: 18.2 points per game by the Cavs, 22.8 points per game by their opponents; Failed to win any of the five fourth quarters.

Tonight at Phoenix, televised on TNT (Win):

- Cleveland Cavaliers: 119 points on 40-85 (47.1%) shooting.

- Phoenix Suns: 111 points on 46-84 (54.8%) shooting.

- LeBron James: 34 points, 13 assists, and 10 rebounds on 10-24 (41.7%) shooting.

- Mo Williams: 30 points and 1 turnover on 10-23 (43.5%) shooting, including 6-10 (60%) from three.

- 4th Quarter: Won 30-18, holding Phoenix to their fewest points in a quarter by 9.

It should also be noted that the 34 points scored by LeBron James and the 30 points scored by Mo Williams tonight are TNT highs this season (regardless of the location of the game). The Cavs now improve to 3-5 in games televised nationally on TNT, with two more to go, one at home against Portland and one at Washington.

In the Valley of the Sun.

Prior to tonight, LeBron James had won a game in every NBA city with the exception of Phoenix. In fact, the Cleveland Cavaliers haven't won a game in Phoenix this millennium, with their last win coming in 1999. Here is a look at how LeBron managed to break a second curse tonight:

- LeBron was only 3-8 lifetime against the Phoenix Suns coming into tonight's game. Here are his career stats against the run n' gunners:

LeBron James (12 games): 31.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 1.9 steals and 1.2 blocks.

- Furthermore, while his 13 assists tonight were not only a career high versus the Suns, it marks the only time LeBron has recorded double-digit assists against Phoenix in his career.

Tonight also marked the first time in the LeBron James era that Cleveland was able to sweep their season series against the Suns. Here is a look at the highlights from that series:

- Cleveland Cavaliers: 114 points per game on 81-174 (46.6%) shooting.

- Phoenix Suns: 101.5 points per game on 82-157 (52.2%) shooting.

- LeBron James (2 games): 30.0 points, 9.5 assists, 8.0 rebounds, 2.5 steals, and 2.0 blocks, going 18-21 (85.7%) from the free throw line.

- Mo Williams (2 games): 37.0 points, 5.0 assists, and 2.5 steals on 28-49 (57.1%) shooting, including 13-19 (68.4%) from three.

- Anderson Varejao (2 games): 9.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks on 8-14 (57.1%) shooting.

It should be noted that not only did Phoenix shoot a higher field goal percentage for the series total, but they shot better in both games, despite the losses.

View from the other side:

- Shaquille O'Neal scored only 12 points, his fewest amount of points in a game in over two weeks, before fouling out of his seventh game this season tonight.

- Matt Barnes scored 21 points on 9-14 (64.3%) shooting, matching his point total from Tuesday night against Dallas. Barnes now has ten double-digit scoring games out of his last 12 total games, after recording only two double-digit scoring games in the previous 15 games.

Damn. Really nice job tonight cam.

Two things stood out to me....

**** you whoever made the LeBron is shooting great from 3 threads. :chuckles: RCF sure knows how to put out a good jinx.

Although it was only 10 games, Sasha played AMAZING as a starter. Yes, amazing. 57% from the field and from 3?? How is he not getting more of a chance? It seemed like last year he was so awful and MB did everything he could to get him in the rotation, now it is the exact opposite.

The guy MIGHT deserve to be starting and he is getting only spot minutes. That does not seem fair to me at all. Major props to Sasha.
