Game 68 | Cavs (42-25) @ Magic (21-45) | March 15th, 2015 | 6:00pm EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Pardon me if Lou Williams and Terrance Ross making everything they chucked up at the rim is going to make me think that 69 point 2nd half the Raptors had is on the Cavs defensive inefficiencies.

Also, in the last 10 games (excluding tonight's game since BRefs box scores aren't up yet, so last 11 and taking a guess on Orlando's advanced stats) we've held 5 of the 11 teams to below a 100 ORtg, 6 of 11 below their year average. Over the course of that stretch of games, we played the #3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, and 13th rated offenses. 6 out of 11 below their league average against the teams we have recently played is pretty good in my book.

Again, I'm not taking this smaller sample size against that quality of opponents over what I have seen from them since January 19th.

I just looked, we're 9th worst in defensive officiency in the last 10 games. Ill give you that we played strong teams, but 9th worst is not 5th best anymore.

Where did I ever say they were 5th best? Championship caliber defense is all I have said, go back and look. Championship caliber defense, to me, is anything above average, especially when you have one of the best offenses in the league. They've been 12th in defensive efficiency I believe since the Mozgov deal. My point will remain the same. This stretch is not going to effect how they have rated or how I have seen them play since mid January.

the problem is we're trending down, fast. we WERE 5th since the mozgov trade. We're 21st in a sizable stretch. Where we sit at 12 is not good considering we were at 5th.

I dont feel good giving up 108 last night. I dont feel good having teams shoot around 60% against us (SA, Hawks). I dont feel anywhere near as confident with our defense.

Statistics have been posted on here.. Worst ever d on a champ team ranking was 10th I believe, and in the postseason that team went bonkers on D. 21st is not 10th.

And I still contest that they had to go down simply by who, where, and when we played during this last stretch, not because of what they were doing. No team could make it through that stretch they just went through without dropping spots defensively. And now it will rise back up. All I care about is how they are playing heading into the playoffs, not how they played when Waiters was still here, or when we didn't have a legit center, or when we had to play 2/3rds of the top 10 offenses in the league mostly on the road...and their schedule sets them up to start rising defensively again.

Thought I would post a couple of pictures from the game.
