Your NumbersDon't game preview:

Game Preview – Friday March 19, 2010 – Cleveland Cavaliers @ Chicago Bulls

Yep, you’ve seen that right. The Cavaliers are on another game winning streak, their 6th of the season, and 12th of the past 2 seasons. They are now winners of 11 of their past 12 games, and have held 10 of those opponents to 95 points & under. The Cavaliers are not all about defense these days however, as they themselves have now scored at least 95 points in a game in 19 of their past 21 games.

The Clevelanders are coming off another close game vs. a sub .500 team at the Q, in the Pacers. The Cavaliers held a 16 point in at the end of 3, but Indiana used a 20-7 run to pull to within 3, but the home team was able to hold them off enough for the 5 point win. LeBron James fell just shy of his 2nd consecutive triple double, as he went for 32 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists, 3 steals, & 2 blocks, while J.J Hickson went 6-10 from the floor for his 13 points. Antawn Jamison had his 9th straight game of 10+ points, going for 17 to go with 9 boards on 7-12 shooting, as Andy Varejao drained 6 of his 9 shot attempts for 13 points in the Cavalier win.

Chicago, meanwhile, is coming off a 7 point home loss to Dallas. a game that saw the Bulls outscore the Mavericks 62-49 in the 2nd half. Acie Law led 6 Bulls in double figures with 22 points off the bench on 7-8 shooting to go along with 3 boards & 3 assists, while Hakim Warrick added 13 on 5-8 shooting off the bench as well. Taj Gibson, Brad Miller, and Flip Murray chipped in 12 points apiece (Murray’s was off the bench), with Murray & Gibson adding 4 rebounds apiece & Miller dishing out 4 assists. James Johnson added 11 points on 5-9 shooting in the Bull loss.

Banged up Bulls team that we should crush by 50-60 points.

That said, Bulls within single digits heading into the 4th?

Beat up, slumping Bulls team that is all of a sudden on the bubble to get into the playoffs instead of having a spot lined up.

Should be a close game.

That is the worst starting lineup I have ever seen.

I challenge someone to find a worse starting lineup.

You should add the following to the injury report for Cleveland...

LeBron James(F)-Will miss first 42 minutes of game.
Cleveland's Defensive Intensity(Excluding Delonte West)-Will miss first 42 minutes of game
Ball Movement and Execution-Will miss first 42 minutes of game, and will be removed from game as soon as the Cavaliers extend the lead to double digits.

I didn't want to put this up in the original post, but remember to check in on the other posts on NumbersDon't & tell others as well.. and feel free to leave as many comments as you like!

In the latest Wednesday Q&A, Cam takes a look at how the Cavaliers have fared against the top 4 seeds each of the past 4 seasons.

And as always, feel free to make any suggestions, complaints, compliments or just chat about the blog in the NumbersDon't thread.

We SHOULD be able to get through this one easily, but something tells me this goes down to the wire unfortunately..

Start the bench..give the players another rest..boring...

Good point, this has Mike Brown outburst written all over it.

What about Andy?

LeBron kicks off trip to Chicago with Jay-Z concert and after-party
by Scott Fleischer

Jay-Z performed at The United Center last night, just one night before his close friend, LeBron James, takes over the building. The Bulls host the Cavs tonight. James was spotted at the Jay-Z show, then hosted a party at The Shrine in The South Loop afterwards. Jay-Z made his way over to the party, along with other celebrities including local speedskater and gold medalist Shani Davis.

So how many minutes/quarters till motivated LBJ shows up tonight?

Gonna be a trip down memory lane seeing Devin Brown and Flip Murray. I loved Flip until the rebound.

Sad to say, but this will be a lot closer then it needs to be. Cavs will win, despite the Bulls hanging around for 3 1/2 quarters. Cavs 107, Bulls 99.

Same old story, ya'll. I expect this to occur for the next 12 games before the playoffs roll around (with the exception being against Atlanta and Orlando, who I expect us to "show Up" against)...

I think we will show up early and often tonight for once.

Cavs hold as much as a 25 point lead in the game, ends up being 14.

106-92 Cavs
