I'm having nightmares that David Griffin gets promoted, fires Mike Brown, brings in some offensive "whiz" like D'Antoni, cuts Dellavedova, and this team gives up 130 every night next season.

D'Antoni's defense isn't this bad. And no I'm not advocating hiring him.

Teams with Jarrett Jack on them just don't play defense.

We just dont have any length on defense w/o Deng and Miles. Can't really be mad about it, just the way it is. Dion, Delly and Jack is never going to be a good defensive unit. Harden killing us isn't a surprise.

On a different note, a move for Donatas would have been nice at the deadline, as opposed to Hawes.

EDIT: And I can't even call it tanking or lack of effort. W/o Kyrie, Deng, and Miles this team's talent level is somewhere near the bottom 3-4 in the league. No shooting and no length (other than Gee, who shouldn't be getting minutes in the NBA).

You're right about the talent. The length isn't the issue though. They aren't shooting over shorter defenders. They are shooting over no one outside and shooting over weak human beings on the inside.

Some of it is effort and scheme. I mean Gee hasn't even looked like he was pretending to try some of the time. But I've watched Harden just stare Jack down a couple of times and give him a step-back jumper. Jack can't guard Harden.

Not gonna argue with that, but that's kind of the point. No Deng and Miles really hurts our ability to defend the perimeter.
