I am not arguring he was the best SG on the team. So a player should get playing time just on talent? I mean the issues with Dion was that he was not playing defense, was not playing team basektball, and was a distraction in the locker room.
You do not reward a second year player with playing time if he is not willing to work hard and earn it.

Dion wasnt benched for what he was doing on the court. he was benched because Brown needed to bench either Bynum, Irving or Waiters to get the ball movement he was looking for.

When bynum was sent on his way and deng arrived he opted to stick with his starting lineup to give deng a chance at some consistency on the court instead of breaking two players back into the lineup. same with hawes. Dion is starting because both CJ and KI were out. so it was time to start him.

Everything else is window Dressing. Waiters cant play defense but hes gonna finish the 4th quarter almost every game as small forward?

was there room for Dion to improve on Defense ? sure. did he have some attitude issues? absolutely. was this what led to his being benched? no .

I would be more than happy to show you the video from preseason throught the season that shows lots of evidence of Dion making more effort than anyone outside of AV and Delladova to play Brownie ball

just an update. Kyrie has 4 game winning shots to take the lead. three in regulation and one in overtime. Alonzo Gee also has one. Thats two players to hit game winning shots since 2011.

Dion could've done this at the start of this season. I know you love Mike Brown but you attribute Dion's success to his "tough love" is bullshit and you know it. Stop.

I just based it on what I have read and heard on this board. When it comes to MB I don't love him, I just choose to play the glass half full view on the board. I just don't understand why you take it so personally that I disagree with your view.

At the end of the day, Dion just hit a game winner, and is starting to play good basketball. Lets not focus on how we got here, but lets hope it continues as that is what is best for the team.

I'm not positive, but I think Kyrie's game winners left a bit of time on the clock and weren't technically buzzer beaters.

i took it down to zero seconds and Kyrie had no buzzer shots.

How many of those were with the red light/buzzer going? I really don't know, I'm just trying to see where they are coming from...

EDIT Just saw previous post...Withdrawn

They're assuming Kyrie has already left for a big market.

I don't take anything online personally. I just call out what I feel is wrong.

That game winner. Been loving the way Dion's been playing.

We have the easiest schedule remaining, out of the Knicks and Hawks.

Just saying...

What the fuck?!!?!

I watched most of the game but missed most of the 4th..when I saw the Cavs had a shot I thought Dion would get the ball.
He did.
I thought when he released it he would make it.
He did.
I thought that was a LONG 3 seconds.
It was .
