Kyrie - 31 shots; 44 points
Rest - 65 shots; 50 points
He only took two shots in the 2nd and tried to get everyone else involved. And they were terrible, so he then took responsibility. He's often got a lot to answer for, but not last night.
your not getting what people are saying.
I am saying and I said it several time that Kyrie had a great game ? we seem to agree with this. What I am saying that when Kyrie has a great game theres a tendancy for everyone else to have a bad game offensively.
Cavs are 9-22 When Irving takes 16-19 shots.
Cavs are 6- 12 wen he takes 20 or more shots.
Cavs are 10-8 when he takes 15 or less shots.
Cavs are 5-6 when he doesnt play.
Cavs are 12-8 when Irving shoots 50% or more.
Weve seen with great scorers.. dominique wilkins, MJ , Durant, Love, Curry, LJ
There is a penchant for the offense to stagnant and the rest of the team shoot poorly and all though sometimes its a randomness of the shooting gods that this occurs s oftentimes its about how the ball is moving and where they are getting their shots.
I am please that Irving is getting adept recognizing open assist oppurtunities but its a fine line excelling within the offense system and putting up big numbers and putting up bigger numbers outside the offense which creates a stagnant offense.
Its a balance and something Kyrie needs to work on and its a good thing for a franchise to have to have a player that needs to work on it.
its part of adjusting to the NBA.
Cavs had 8 team assist in the third quarter. 5 in the 4th.. with 4 different players with assist. led with kyrie's 5 assist. that show ball movement and the Cavs shot 57% for the third quarter.
Im not saying Krye needs to cut back his shots . nor am i saying he had a bad game.
but in these close games he does need to learn to have a great game and keep the team in the offense. Irving had one assist in the 4th quarter and none in overtime.
its a fine balance and one Irving has to learn even if they had pulled out the win
