Game 8 | Atlanta Hawks (5-3) @ Cleveland Cavaliers (4-3) | November 15, 2014 | 7:30PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Miller is the only Cav not to score. Six players in double digits.

This is what we were expecting to see this season and nice that we put in the full effort. The D was a bit lax for the first 8 minutes there but then tightened up. We created some turnovers, got out on the break, and hit an incredible amount of treys. I love how we didnt let them any closer than 25 or so for the rest of the game and even stretched it out to 40.

Nice to see Harris get some good burn and hit some shots. Also nice to see this much energy on the 2nd night of a back to back. They were on track to score 142 after a half and they were continuing on that path about halfway through the third. I thought if they kept that pace up they could be in contention for some kind of record but nope, the NBA record for regulation points is 168 by the Nuggets in 08.

In other news bulls are down 17 in the 4th at home to pacers who got waxed by 20 at home to nuggets last night

We're now the highest scoring team in the nba (107.9 pts per game). Just crazy.

We also jumped from a negative point differential per game to a +3.8 in a single game. Haha.

As these guys get settled in and relaxed, there are going to be some epic offensive performances, especially when we get to play teams that have no defensive prowess like the Lakers, Sixers, Nuggets, Knicks(payback) and Wolves. It's games like those(and obviously tonight) that have a huge benefit in making everyone relax, feel good about themselves, and understand the different ways they can help the team. Think about how useless Marion looked in those first 3-4 games. 4 games later and you can see the many different ways he can help the team. Dion's role is coming into better focus. Harris is carving out a role that previously wasn't there. The next step is getting Mike Miller comfortable and feeling good about his shot and continuing to get Love going.

Can't wait to see what this thing looks like by game 25.

Is Damon Jones an unofficial coach now? Saw him again in the locker room tonight.

Figures, the first game I miss.

Is Damon Jones an unofficial coach now? Saw him again in the locker room tonight.

No formal role with the team has been announced. He has been at various practices and games.

"The Cavaliers became the first team in NBA history to go 9 for 9 or better from behind the arc in a quarter, according to information provided to the team by the Elias Sports Bureau.

James hit three 3-pointers in the period, while Kevin Love and Joe Harris had two apiece. The Cavaliers set a team record by going 19 for 31 on 3s."

Games like this are just fun. Some people want close games to keep them intrigued and involved... nope. Completely content blowing teams out of the water. Great game, Go Cavs!
